Beep…….. beep…….. beep…….. beep…….. I am 14. It’s quiet I’m in a hotel hospital room I’m lying on my back propped up in bed, a 45° angle I can feel the bed underneath me really really hard under my hips and my legs feel strange my ankles don’t feel present at all I try and move my legs move a little bit but my ankles almost to my toes and half way up to my knee are completely numb. I start to panic, I recently had lung surgery so I have tubes sticking out of me and wires and IVs. there doesn’t seem to be anyone around. the lights are off it’s silent except for the beeps I don’t even hear anyone around I call out I don’t know as I have a call button for the nurse but if I don’t know where it is.  I yell for someone and no one comes I fear I’ll lose my feet I don’t know what to do I can’t move there’s no one here there’s no help I can’t do this on my own
