I walked to the store with Jon to go get some cigars, and the guy behind the counter was quite a character.

20 something, he reminded me of a classic highschool character: the big dumb jock. He was large, blonde, and spoke slowly:
“So did you hear about Northampton?”
“No”
“Apparently the power went out… they… they got people looting downtown.”
“Wow”
“They don’t really think it’s terrorists or anything. I mean… they’re not going to come here, knock out the power then go back over the ocean.”
“huh”

We were both amazed at the connection this guy had just made.
How do you do that??!! What goes through your head that it’s a possibility?
I mean… it’s Northampton! Essentially nowhere, at least in the eyes of terrorists.

That lead into some good schtick regarding Muslims going after the lesbians…
