>I just read this article on the increasing hole in the ozone. You’ll notice at the end it states “The CFCs have decreased since most countries signed a treaty in 1997 to reduce emissions”. This is the Kyoto treaty. A well intentioned agreement between the world powers, of course it actually ammounts to no more then a .7% (I’ll dig up the actual # so I don’t miss-inform) reduction.
I just needed to comment on this very large stretch of an aticle. I realize it’s a sensitive subject when people are thinking you’re saying “the environment isn’t worth saving”. That’s not what I’m saying through… I’m just saying that global warming is science’s unicorn.
“A unicorn is a mythological creature, that car has been his “unicorn” – long sought but never captured” ~ (or something like that) Gone in 60 secconds
update – now that’s gonna bother me, cause it ain’t in IMDB. I guess they only have the good quotes not the stupid explanation. I couldn’t find the line about “black lights in the 70s” either.
