>Today was the last day of work, I went in for 12 – worked for an hour and then it was time to wrap it up with a little luncheon. They told us over and over how much they appreciated us — logical retort being: If we’re so appreciated, how come we’re the ones being let go?

With the equally logical corporate answer: You cost too much money.

Oh.

Check out my entry from the day they told us. I had refrained to publish anything, and will even refrain from the company name in the meanwhile, though anyone that follows the telecommunications industry will certainly know which one I’m speaking of.

I got home in time to meet with my web client – got everything squared away with the domain name, she gave me the objects to photograph, and got the blog set up for her main update area. I just need to get a camera and I’ll be all set.

Afterwards was a party at a local club/bar that was for all the mutually in-limbo employees — I eventually made it, and had a blast. I haven’t danced so much in about a month. After a few Redbull and Vodkas — I wasn’t stopping, and didn’t until we had to go home. =]
