I’ve noticed everyone’s nicer, more personable. They know that everyone’s stressed, everyone’s having a hard time… and it’s not uncommon to hear “You OK?” or “How you holding up?” as it’s a valid question for virtually everyone.
People are making arrangements, preparing to move out – find another place, possibly sell their car.
It’s somewhat depressing, but it doesn’t feel like you’re alone — like I’m not blaming myself like I would if say– I got fired. Everyone’s in the same boat… except the few people who managed to hop on a lifeboat… and that’s only cause they’re the only ones who know how to row.
