>Yesterday I went to Providence — the original plan was to go to Worcester, check out the hustle and bustle that pops up for summer.

I was hanging out with Laura, couldn’t find anyone to go with us so she called some friends in Providence to meet us there. They’d already done a ton of driving over the weekend, so they weren’t really up for the trek.

Almost to Worcester, and having nothing to really -do- in Worcester, we decided to drive on to Providence.

We went to her sorority sister’s apt, where they’re staying for the summer. Hung out for a bit, went to Brown University for a walk around… very nice. It’s right in the center of the city, in the midst of concrete and tarmac. It’s a very old campus, the buildings are all stone with giant pillars arches, and the common was bright green with luciuos turf. After being very obvious tourists we sat down for a bit to play ‘Brown University Student’. It’s just like sitting on the STCC common, except we pretended like we were a good 50 grand in debt. =]~

I found a shop, I think it was called “Oops” or “oop” or some surprised exclamation. I got some finger puppets (keep your eyes out once I get iChat AV for some original shorts) and an awesome wind up metal-geared thing. It wobbles and jumps around like a water-skipper (bug) on 4 thin metal rubber-tipped legs. I’ll post the website with pictures.

It was ladies night, in that I was the only guy there. I was pre-occupied with fixing up the computer, so I was somewhat apart from the discussion. I just sat back, listened, and was surfing around while the girls drank beer, smoked, and ate pizza… except they were watching Monday night NBC – reality TV show after reality TV show. It was some Joe Millionaire (even looked like the same guy) show… didn’t pay much attention. They didn’t either, but would keep their ears open for interesting tidbits.

It was a relaxing evening, I had a lot of fun just watching females be themselves in a comfortable environment. We ended up wimping out and sleeping there – probably best not to be driving all tired.

We left in the morning, got home in about an hour but it took 30 minutes to get from the turnpike to home… a lot longer then normal with morning traffic. I made it home with just enough time to grab a shower then off to work.
