>I got my COBOL test back today – 65, not bad considering I didn’t remember I had it until it was too late to study, planned on getting up early and looking at it before the test… and slept halfway through the period. I got in just in time to take it really quickly… and got what I got. I certainly earned the 65… just made me sad. He’s insulting. Early on I tried really hard, attempted to answer his questions, but a few wrong answers, some humiliation in front of the class… and his not letting it go resulted in me losing ambition for class participation.

I also attempted to ask him a question after last class regarding assignment 2 — he said I was sitting on my butt.

I never asked him my question.

I just want to tell him to go to hell.

He’s a nice old man, but he rambles… then cuts down anyone who can’t ramble off square roots, tricks to figuring out long division, or other theories. I’m not a math person, he’s a math teacher, and anyone who doesn’t do math boom boom boom is an idiot.

I understand math, I work with formulas, I plug and press compute. I understand how it gets there, I just can’t do the footwork when I know there’s something that will do it far easier — for me. I’ve always had that problem.
