There are already lower-grade work conditions that we have to deal with, we have the same computers, but the “floor” has nice desks, comfortable chairs, TVs in the break room, better ventilation/air, more vending machines… nicer lighting, bunnies, no tacks on the toilet seats… now they say we can’t have our laptops.

Technically they weren’t allowed before, but we were able to use them on the condition of it wasn’t hooked to the network, and it was just for music. Anything else was permitted on break, away from your desk. That sounds reasonable…

My one sanity amidst the wash of issues I deal with every day is my music. I don’t have a CD player, I don’t have an MP3 player. I do have a minidisc player, but it’s a pain to record music. Anyhow… as far as I was aware, no one had abused the privilege to this point but now it’s ruined for everyone.

.:sigh:. No appreciation 🙁

I wonder if there are actually people out there who do things like work on their web page instead of working. I myself wait until my breaks to update, or rant… of course the times are all over the place, I like to arbitrarily set the time either forward or backward. I figure if I’m ever elected president (and that is one of my goals) and they want to use my old web page as evidence or something, they’d have a hard time proving where I was at any point and time.
