I can’t believe there’s so little in my inbox. I know yesterday was a holiday, but I still expected there to be things to do. In all actuality there is quite a bit to do. I’ve been volunteered for so many different projects. I’ve got an Access DB to go through and verify calculations and results as well as a document depository for the department. They were thinking Notes, I was thinking HTML. It certainly looks nicer and you can bookmark the items you’ll need again.

All signs point to this being a fabulous day, but I can’t get over my semi-funk. I say semi because I know why I am in it, I know why I shouldn’t be, and I could get myself out of it. It’s a beautiful day, and I woke up on time, and even with time to spare. I got my coffee from DD (cause America runs on it, did you know that? Says so right on my cup, so it must be true.) and rolled in with ease, even having left my badge on my desk.

I am in such a hurry to pay off my credit cards that I ran up in the past month or two that I’m scrambling — I transferred money to pay my car loan and somehow never paid it. I’ve never been this late for a payment… and I had the cash in the account and STILL didn’t pay it. I paid the card instead. I will now pay 2 payments to make up for it, but I still don’t know if the bank will forgive me. Not sure how I can talk myself out of it. I don’t want a late car payment to show up on my credit when I’m hoping to get a house loan. I also want to avoid losing my percentage rate.

Like, I said — self created funk. I don’t have to worry about it, there’s not much I can do until the money comes in, which Nicole reminded me this morning isn’t actually until Thursday. So time to relax, do some work, hope for the best, and enjoy myself in the meanwhile.
