Scientists at a Japanese university have created a Fuel Cell that runs on blood.
I was originally thinking robots with blood streams. They’re talking about a machine that will read glucose levels and transmit to another area, however it could go further. If they had a robot/android that could power its own fuel processor that would work much like the human body — forming glucose, a robot who exists on sugar. It could provide its own glucose to power itself. However — I believe efficiency would be a problem. It would have to generate a lot of electricity to power it’s own energy creation process, let alone have any left over for normal functions like walking, talking, etc.

I just sampled a FlavorSplash (from the makers of AquaFina) all hoitee toitee, good for you taste good water. Well I’ll tell you what… I’m not sure how much sodium (salt, for you LAYmen) is in Gatoraide, but there’s a spit load in a single bottle of this stuff. It almost tastes salty, the way Gatoraide does. With Gatoraide it’s “infused with electrolytes” but with this stuff — it’s just no fat, no sugar, and a buncha salt! 23 grams x 2.5 = 6% of your daily intake of SALT, from a bottle of WATER.
It just seems wrong to me. What do you think?
