I hate sleep, it always comes at the most inopportune times. Like now I should be sleeping and I can’t. I just keep thinking about all the wonderful things my dad kept going on about as we were driving in the truck, bringing home my new easy chair.

First about the chair: It’s a Lane, about 13 years old and comfy as ever. I’d go sleep in it now, I’m sure I’d fall right asleep — but I’d never wake up for class.

About those things: My Father’s convinced that Democrats are the evil force behind corruption and all the problems plaguing society. I’m convinced it’s the Republicans who are more apt to go all mega-evil, corporation-style. He uses words like Socialist and Communist. I use words like Capitalist and (haven’t yet, but it seems to go) Fascist.

All the goings on he kept going on about were so down-trodden. If I went solely upon his example and what he says (how I used to be) I’d be one sad puppy… and I was for a while.

I won’t touch on the whole “optimism through absolution” via the whole Hospital Experience.

But in doing a search on past entries for “hospital” I came upon this one.

I was surprised that was the only entry I could find searching for “hospital” or “operation”. I could have sworn I’d written about it before. Thought I’d beaten a dead horse. Guess that’s something for the future, but of course I noted that here too.
