I found a site a few years ago, it was one of the first to use flash to sell a product. You were able to design your own shoes for about the price of a normal pair of Nikes.
I’ve purchased a few pairs myself, the latest of which being a black w/ silver stripe patent leather bowling shoe. Make your own running shoe, skater shoe, or boot with every little bit (think eyelets, stitching) being customizable – you design it, they build it. Then when anyone asks you where you got your shoes — you can say you designed them.
