>Funny how I never get around to updating until the weekend’s over. I like to lump the events of the weekend together, I’m able to recall things better that way.

I had a great time chillin with an old friend on Thursday night. We hadn’t really hung out in quite some time — began talking again after seeing each other at Phil’s funeral. It had been about a year that we weren’t speaking to each other, and though our lives went on separately — there were a lot of things we shared. It was good to put the past behind us, live in the now.

It was her birthday, so we went out and had a good evening. Caught up on things, and just mainly talked throughout the night. It was refreshing to have the back-and-forth we used to. We both enjoy just throwing things out there — see what the other thinks about it: issues, people, events, culture… a nice little wake-up call to my un-exercised brain. We had a blast — went well into Friday morning, I tagged along to her Psychology class and we went gallivanting for most of the day.

Grabbed a nap in the evening, headed to my buds house to chill with the guys — hung out till all hours and woke up just in time to head out to go fill out the needed info for the new apt. It went well, landlord had quite a few cautionary statements. One of which was that there were no pets allowed. It’s not like the place is pristine, it’s decent… but I see no reason why a well-trained cat would be a problem. Which leads me to a question: should I ask ahead of time, assuring her the cat is mature enough to stay out of trouble and/or hurt the house… try to get permission, or just sneak her in there as the landlord is never around? (according to the previous tenants)

I love my kitty, it would make me very sad not to have my cat — she’d be sad too. I just hope that end of things works out well enough. One of my future house mates is pretty allergic, but she’d mainly be staying in my room.

I killed some time in the afternoon then went to hang out with a few friends in downtown Springfield. I set up their computer and enjoyed some good imported beer… then we took up an invite to a party (mainly just to be nice) but we were a few of the only ones there. Hung around for an hour or two and headed back. I was planning to be able to go home a bit later — but ended up passing out in the guest room.

All-in-all I’d say I had a pretty eventful weekend. I had a lot of fun, hung around with a lot of cool people, and really made the most of my time =] I feel really hopeful, happy, relaxed, and tired… but that’ll just make it easier to go to sleep tonight after a nice calm evening. I can’t imagine I’ll be able to party like this in 10 years… this is my testament to fun times, so I can look back and smile.
