i love video games. I always have. I remember pacman and asteroids. There was a whole boom I never experienced growing up in the 80s but the cabinets were everywhere. They were all the same Atari style cabinets, centipede with roller ball tables, they were ubiquitous. I didn’t have games growing up. Beep…….. beep…….. beep…….. beep…….. I am 14. It’s quiet I’m in a hotel hospital room I’m lying on my back propped up in bed, a 45° angle I can feel the bed underneath me really really hard under my hips and my legs feel strange my ankles don’t feel present at all I try and move my legs move a little bit but my ankles almost to my toes and half way up to my knee are completely numb.
