>Well I’m back… and at work — yesterday was a loooooong day, but I got home. =] It was less then a happy return, all sorts of people were confused and mad and everyone had their theories and bits of information that they pieced together to make a sucessful soap opera. .:sigh:. It’s probably the end of things with Nicole by now… I hope she changes her mind, but you can’t argue with someone when they’ve already planned it all out in their head before even talking to you. I have the whole trip typed out, just have to edit…

>Well, speak of the devil… a day after setting up some ‘sponsors’ my fore-sight has proven itself. I was notified today that I’ve begun to go over quota. My web-host gives me so much bandwidth (transfer, in bytes) per yearly fee. I renewed about 5 or 6 months ago… and am already over. I’ve come to the realization that this hobby (I’d like to give it more legitimacy then that… but it’s really what it boils down to) is going to start costing me money. Granted, the site isn’t exactly graphicly-lean… but that’s what makes it special. It’s like a…

>Ok — so bear with me for this. I am trying to get things moving in the direction of sponsors. I need to test some out, and they need a positive response… or else they charge me a non-active fee. I’m giving it a shot, and they are retailers and sites that I normally recommend anyhow. I will hopefully have an expanded “Market Place” section where there will be different links for each category, such as Movies, Music, Video Games, Computer Hardware, Computer Software, Car Parts/Mods and anything else that looks like it might have promise. There’s even a sponsor…

>I just got 2 new CDs: Rammstein – Mutter, and 50 Cent‘s new one. I’m sure you’ve heard a few of his songs on the radio, probably figured it’s just another gangsta wannabe. In a way he’s picked up on Eminem’s style, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. He’s got a similar style, but a flavor all his own. He’s brackish and focused on street-creed… that aside, the whole CD is really good. I’ve had the new Rammstein in my head since I saw xXx, the movie may have been horrible… but the song and performance in the movie…

>I’m trying to get everything together for my trip on Monday – I booked everything on Expedia.com so I went there to print out my itinerary, and receipt, just in case I need some other info for my e-ticket. I also set up mobile alerts to my phone to remind me when the connecting flights are leaving (just in case I’m caught up in a rousing game of pinball or whatnot while waiting for my flight). I can never get enough of this techie stuff, it’s so much fun! …and speaking of which – it’s off to Best Buy to…

>Well I’ve been hankering to find Cannibal: The Musical on DVD — nothing at Blockbuster, FYE could order it, but it was going to be $24.95… so I tried Netflix, ordered it, says there’s a short wait but at least they have it. I also found it at www.cduniverse.com (see above link) — as they’re my new favorite place to buy movies and music, I recommend going there for it. If you haven’t seen it, you really should. I didn’t do much this weekend, did a lot of driving, running around, and doing nothing of much consequence. At least I…

>OK… I’m all for convenience, but sometimes it’s just too easy. I heard a song on the radio earlier, it got stuck in my head. It was Swing Swing… or something similar from “…american… blah” I hopped on www.cduniverse.com and searched for new releases. (I used to use CDNOW until their selection grew sparse along with the information they provided about each album.) I saw “American Hi-Fi” on the list… I knew that wasn’t it but clicked it anyhow. Sure enough in the Customers who bought this item… also bought… section was All-American Rejects. I put that into my cart…

>Work seems to just make things more and more pleasant for the people in my department. There are already lower-grade work conditions that we have to deal with, we have the same computers, but the “floor” has nice desks, comfortable chairs, TVs in the break room, better ventilation/air, more vending machines… nicer lighting, bunnies, no tacks on the toilet seats… now they say we can’t have our laptops. Technically they weren’t allowed before, but we were able to use them on the condition of it wasn’t hooked to the network, and it was just for music. Anything else was permitted…

>I feel great today. Yesterday I wasn’t feeling so chipper. I still have the issues I had yesterday – trying to get blood from a stone, or money from an unemployed house mate… and a less-than friendly action by said house-mate, in combination with previous events became a conglomerate glob of goo that just ate away at my sanity for most of the day yesterday. I got home, went to bed — and got a decent amount of sleep. Life is much easier when you’re fully fueled. I discussed the issue(s) with my other house mate, he’ll speak to him…
