>So I try and get everything together last night, get my friend away from the usual element… but noooo she’s already got plans — but I’m not bitter! …or at least I wouldn’t be if anyone else had shown up 🙁 I just kinda hung out, played some video games… it’s been a busy week so I took the evening off – just staying home. Bryan stopped by later on, we played Enter the Matrix, got through a lot of it – I’m about the same place in the game with both characters. I got stuck with Ghost, but just…
>Nothing for the past few days, there’s a few links – but those can wait for now. I’m just in one of those thinking while typing moods. I have one friend who’s having issues at home, can’t get ahold of her, and who in her last entry melodramatically noted she was contemplating ways to kill herself. She said her father made her show it to him when she printed it — it was probably partially for his benefit, but you can’t go writing shit like that. It makes people worried, and there’s others that love you as you are… your…
>After spending some time with Cathy I’m convinced a little both ways. We spent most of the time we were hanging out at Newburry Comics just paroozing. Music, or posters, or little nicknacks would remind us of a story, and we’d banter back and forth on that subject. It was easy to talk… and we’d both trail off, losing our tain… to be reminded by the other person of what we were saying. There was so much that I wanted to say at a time, I’d often get on another subject before getting through the first — and we’d both…
>So yeah — this one’s in draft, probably for quite some time. This weekend — whew. It blew my mind. I learned so much about Danielle — realized I we had a lot in common. She had a similar past (the whole ‘goth stage’ thing), her view on things like ‘energy’ within the universe. She went off on it once when Caitlin was around, kind of took it back with a ‘but that’s stupid’. A very kind person, vulnerable, but with determination to do what needs to be done. I’ve never been complimented in such a way as to make…
>So this weekend was so… full of epiphany. Kind of. I wouldn’t say I made a new friend, per se… but I think I made one less enemy. I really enjoy singing — was jamming out with a band, just making up the song as I went, as they made up the music as we went along. It was so much fun! I’ve always tried to make my own music. Various attempts at instruments have fallen flat, though mixing has had decent results, it’s only been after much deliberation and re-inventing. I partied it up with some great people, nothing…

>Dear Girl I Don’t Know
>Dear Girl I Don’t Know You’ve told me a bit, a vague idea of a she. Tell me your hopes and dreams, where do you want to be? How much have you given to this world, and how much has been taken from you? What would you have your children do differently, and how might that change their view? If you had a choice between love and money, between happiness and fame, would you rather be complacent, or have everyone know your name? What do you seek, this minute, right now? Are you starting a home, are you just up…

Notable songs include (but are not limited to): Couch Potato Hardware Store Trash Day Angry White Boy Polka Evanescence has also been rockin’ my world as of late. A friend near Boston saw them at a recent show — said it was amazing… the lead singer can really belt it out… and they’ve got the music to back her up. >Ever try to fill up a salt and pepper shaker with salt and pepper packets? It takes a long time, there really isn’t that much in those things. So I hope all are happy to hear that the individual who was lying bleeding in the cafeteria is OK. He had a seizure, fell… blood went *KASPLAT* and the forensics were there because he didn’t have ID… so they suspected possible foul play. >So I’m sick – co worker spread the joy, I have no sick days – but I’ll be damned if I’m going to miss any work because of this. I’m sure he was thinking the same thing when he waltzed in here to get better just as I’m coming down with it — just to mess with my head! No… not really, it’s just due to our sick policy. It’s hours… but it used to be occurances (didn’t work, of course) where you could be out for 3 days in a row — and it was 1 occurance of sick…
>So the rain has stopped… 7 days total I believe. I’m happy — it’s a nice day… for a b l o o d b a t h !!! Ok — maybe not that extreme, but there was a dead body, some blood… and unusual circumstance (though I don’t think it was murder, per se) surrounding the cafeteria here @ work. It’s run by an outside company, so I don’t have any inside info — but they had the bathroom roped off and there was a stain of sorts on the tile/marble/carpet. They had most of it covered up, no…
>I went to go play pool this evening with my friend Caitlin and her partner in crime – Danielle. We headed to one of my favorite spots: Boston Billiards. They have a really nice place, full-sized tables, good people, decent drinks if a little high-priced, and some of the best waitresses around. =] There was a fire truck there – firemen walking on the roof, milling about. Danielle didn’t have a valid ID so we couldn’t get in, but the bouncer said there was a sort of electrical fire… then people started getting sick. It could have been gas… or…

>So this has got to be the most dreary weekend in a long while… it’s like 5-7 days straight of darkness and rain. Everyone’s lethargic, staying in… tired. I have a birthday party at the local club to go to tonight. I like going out… it’s just that they always play the same crap there. It’s about an hour of good music, with shit inbetween… and then they repeat about an hour before closing. (because they let you in an hour early if you’re with a birthday party) They have ‘hot body contests’ but the same people own the club…

>I can’t write poetry, I’ve established that. I just tried, and failed damn near flat. I couldn’t find a word, or rhyme the write verb, but I was trying to speak of my cat. Gobble gobble gobble, gobble gobble goo. Gooble gobble gooble goo, boggle goodble google gooble. >So there’s some major stuff going down today. Microsoft is talking to SCO in order to license UNIX. SCO is in turn sending notices to certain distributors of Linux saying that they are distributing an “unauthorized derivative” of their operating system. Mac OSX already has a license for the UNIX basis for their operating system from BSD… so they’re unaffected, but all the other flavors of Linux are possibly threatened if they can indeed prove that Linux uses the UNIX engine/technology. Mac’s online music service might be causing a stir, but this new Spanish site: Puretunes.com is doing more then…

>I had to put my kitty down, last night. The past few days have been pretty rough for her, I had seen her around the house at different intervals, but normally she’d be in one spot for at least 24 hours. After talking with my Ken I realized the only reason she’d been in different places was because people had picked her up to move her. She had also spent an extended period in a cupboard in the bathroom because she went in there to hide and sit… and didn’t meow or even try to get out for at least…
>[As always, any news links will open in a new window — links to old entries will stay in page, you’ll just jump to that particular section] I posted a link a few days ago regarding ‘black boxes’ for cars that record information about the person driving. It has been targeted towards businesses and parents being watchful of their teenage children. One model even included a GPS that would give a position every 5 minutes as well as email you when the driver broke the speed limit. It was kind of scary in itself – but apparently there’s already some…
