Review: Driver San Francisco

Ok, I loved the original driver. It was an entirely new genre at the time. Sure you had a driving around car game, but once GTA III hit anything where you drove and crashed was “just another GTA”. They’ve always been one to spin a story but this latest one is entirely out of the box. It was not what I expected at all. Sure, plainclothes policeman in a muscle car, but there’s a big twist to this one. After a crash attempting to apprehend an escaped convict you’re jumping from body to body. Think Quantum leap meets Messiah (if…

Windows 7 – Don’t Rush It.

Windows 7 – Don’t Rush It. That’s a cautionary statement, a metaphor, and a realization. I had a LOT of issues with this installation and I’m not even at a point where I can benchmark. 3… maybe 4 installations at this point and I think I’ve finally got it. I put in another HD so I could avoid RAID issues and I still run into them. My motherboard has 10 SATA ports 4 on one SATA controller, 6 on nVidia SATA RAID. I avoided trying to bring over the RAID right away, instead having a single HD on the ontroller…

>Google phone – G1 Review – First Glance

>Nicole got her G1 yesterday – the first and foremost “Google phone”It runs android – the open source phone OS developed by Google. At first glance it’s about the side of an iPhone (and that’s the exact demographic this phone is going for) though no where near as sleek. The screen swings out from the base and pops into place when going into landscape mode. The home screen has a clock widget with 4 basic icons at the bottom. It appears you can fill up the whole screen with up to 16 icons, if you didn’t have the clock there.…

>Stardust Review

>I saw Stardust yesterday, had to get out of the house for a few hours while there was babyshowering going on for Nicole’s sister’s baby’s stomach birth. So yes – I went by myself, to the movies. It wasn’t anything like I thought it would be from the previews. There was adventure, there was magic, but no where near what they made it out to be. An epic battle between worlds, magic flooshing here and there – no, it was much more realistic, and I think it was better that way. Just outside of England exists a magic world, there is…
