>I was just thinking of something… last year about this time I wasn’t doing very well. The day after Valentine’s Day I had been in an accident coming south on 91, I was hit by a gas tanker, 18 wheeler — about 4 in the morning. The car was totaled, I was pretty much too. A few days after the accident all the muscles in my back seized up and I wasn’t overly mobile for the past couple of days. I was just reviewing the days I missed work last year about this time — and it hit me that…
>Well here it is Sunday evening. It snowed a bit today — already gone to wetness and rain. For whatever reason (and I’m blaming the chairs @ work — they took away our ergonomics) my back is killing me, neck… all hurty and whining :] I’m pleased overall. I had a fantastic weekend, spent it with a lot of really cool people… all just chillin — playing State of Emergency & Final Fantasy X in all their glory. Got to go clothes shopping with Liz for the first time — it was great, we work well in the store and…
>Ahh… love is in the air. [ your heart here ] Movies page will be changing over the next week or so. I’m compiling “a collection of stills, dialog, and extra information about the movie” for the movies I review on the page. I will take requests and let you know when to possibly expect delivery/availability. The CDs go for $5 and are an invaluable tool to any movie fan, all the scenes you remember, the dialog you and your friends keep reciting… will be yours to keep. They’re nothing fancy on the outside, it’s all in the content. Links…
>H&R Block is baaaaaad. After waiting an hour and a half on hold today, (after finally obtaining a phone number from an H&R Block financial office), I was brought through the endless loop of looking at my rejected return and having to file it via mail. The reason, it turns out, that it was rejected… was that the federal form has an area for “apt” and the state form doesn’t. Since the federal form didn’t fill out the state form correctly — it haulted the process. Well they couldn’t put it through again, I couldn’t resubmit because of their error.…
>Well today’s my friday. I can’t believe how quickly time goes by… especially when I’m with that special someone. This whole week has gone by quickly… strange. I’m doing well, things look to only get better. Home, work… it’s all good. Taxes… those have issues… and I’m kicking myself now for not just going to a real human. It cost me a bit more last year, but I had someoene else to work out the kinks. I’ve e-filed every year so far… don’t know why the difficulty now, H&R Block Online — why? why?!!
>A friend of mine is leaving. She’s going back to college somewhere near Chicago. It’s somewhat strange because although she’s been working at the same place as me for quite some time… it’s been a very long time since we’ve said anything more then the occational “hi”. I wouldn’t even know if I wasn’t hanging around someone’s desk when she was telling them she was leaving. She was part of the intial “group” which consisted of my 2nd roommate, my buddy Jay, and a few other people here and there. We’d go out, enjoy a bit of pool, hanging out,…
>Not too much happening… been playing with my Palm III. I’ve got the irDa port on my phone so I’m trying to set it up to dial up using the phone as a modem. Might not work with my phone, but it’s worth a shot for gits and shiggles. SSX Tricky retains its fun value still… and unlocked the mysterious and difficult area 5 in Rez. I still maintain my ratings of both of these games, if you don’t own them yet — you’re missing out =] Devil May Cry — you’ve probably already heard of it. It looks beautiful,…
>It sure is winter outside right now. It’s been icing all day, just got in from clearing off my car so it might be set come 9:30. The only thing I could wish for now would be some snow to top it off. This would make a great sledding base. I love winter, but I was looking at the trees and the grass earlier today before everything was covered up… I was thinking how nice spring is, the trees just budding… the smell in the air, the grass just turning green again. It’ll be nice once winter’s over, I just…
>Ok, so Rez is as cool as I thought it would be. It’s one of those things… ominously named “the game” in various stories. A futuristic game that everyone gets into, forgets the rest of their lives… well, maybe not quite, but it’s certainly addictive. I’ve almost beat it, but beating each time unlocks different modes of play in the 4 areas. It starts off mostly point-line 3D… but fills in as you progress (from what I’ve gathered). I can’t wait to get to the later levels. It can get so intense, the controller vibrates to the beat, keeping you…
>I realized a lot of my job consists of gauging people’s honesty. I have to figure out if we are at fault vs the customer… sometimes they’re flat out lying, sometimes they have no clue… and sometimes we’re at fault. I don’t like having to gauge liers, that is a lot of the reason as to why I choose the friends that I do — I’m straight up in all aspects, this is me… and I want others to be the same. There’s nothing worse then thinking someone might be doing something behind your back. I cast that possibility out…
>The cumulative ammount of snow has gone by the wayside. With 50 degrees plus today, the snow went on a fast track outah here. It’s almost my weekend, too — there go my hopes of sledding. I now have some pictures of my surroundings. I feel like I’ve got double the free time, having the laptop with me. I can work when the inspiration strikes, I don’t have to wait until I get home, and then worry about having the time to do it… at the very least write some notes on how I want to do something later on.…
>Wow! More snow today! I’ve been itching to go sledding so badly, know of at least 3 friends who were out having a good time yesterday and today while I was wasting the good daylight time working. My whole department at work moved to a new area of the building… it’s where everyone used to be before everything got huge – back when it was all still Javanet. I’ve got a nice desk, window to look out of longingly, plant… it’s all good, and with the new schedule it’s about the same ammount of work — albiet a lot less…
>There was a nice snow last night, though still not up to par for winter. I miss the snow, and its nice that we have some hanging around finally… but I want feet! I want snow to just go *BWAM!” …2 feet. =] I’m actually running out of things to do with the page =] I’ve got some work done on the pictures page, but that won’t be up till I have something other then my “yams project” to put up there. (I was invigorated and inspired last time I went shopping — had a hankerin for yams… and followed…
>I saw Lord Of The Rings again last night. I’m still amazed by the sound in the theater, though a bit larger this time, so it didn’t sound quite as good as the last place I saw it, but wonderful just the same. I’ve steadily been working on the page, finally got the music page to look more how I’d like it… I’ll be adding more/new music soon. If you need DivX, check out the software section. Once I get myself a bit more situated/organized I’ll have the albums up, upwards of about 20 80min albums at this point, and…
>…grrr – should have known, as soon as I put it up — doesn’t work. For some reason it’s not pulling the .class file out of the .jar archive. I am beside myself… I wish it just wouldn’t have worked on my computer — then I wouldn’t have worked for so long to get it to look good… only to have it not work later. .:sigh:. well its not like its not backed up… but just annoying. I don’t see anything funny with my webhost, but I’m unable to set the permissions to anything but read only for everyone else…
>Hey wait a sec… weekend? …exactly. I’ve updated — or will as soon as I get back to an ethernet connection. There’s a new way to navigate. There’s still the bubbles to activate the people page, webcam, and journal… but now there’s a handy dandy navigation HUD. Check it out at the big green bubble. I’ve tried to keep a decent balance of keeping everything on one page, and not having a million windows open, so lemme know what you think.
>Spent thursday going out to offices near Boston. I saw people who I talk to here and there througout the day, saw their end of the operations, which helps me better understand my own and how to better work with them, all-in-all it was rather rewarding. The drive was probably the hardest part, but I kept myself and others occupied. …anything to avoid the licence plate game .:shudder:. Attendance sucks. Oooooh 8 minutes late… when I stay 15 at the end of my shift, I understand from a management standpoint… but it’s not really that serious. 20 minutes, thats serious……
