>I thought of this while driving home from the AE job this morning: I can’t see a plastic bag fly by or dance in the wind without thinking of American Beauty. I loved the movie, but also appreciated “Not Another Teen Movie” spoofing it… where the bag follows the “weird kid” around all the time. When I was finishing up the job this morning, I had a thought, a hit of deja-vu (again, yes) and I could swear that I dreamt about this before. When I arrived home, I searched my site’s entries for “dream” and came up with some…
>There’s nothing like a new 3D Mark to make you feel the full depth of ineptitude that is your computer’s 3D abilities. At least my main machine will play it. All the laptops either had AMD processors or ATI chipsets, no ideal combination of Intel & NVidia. So I have a measly ATI 9200 in this thing… incapable of pixel shading, aparently. So I am stuck with a 720 3D Mark 2003 score. The desktop kicks ass in 2003, and runs 2005 — sub 10fps… can’t win ’em all 😉
>I wanted to see Team America: World Police last night… there was only 1 showing at 7pm! I was bummed because I was working, however — I believe I may have missed a sneak preview. It doesn’t open until the 15th according to all the ads. Hmmmm, incorrect theater posting, or sneaky preview? I may never know cause I didn’t go. I got myself a new To(y)ol, I need it for these contract jobs, the newest of which is setting up the wireless access points for American Eagle. It’s a tiny little laptop — Sony PCG-V505. I’m impressed, such a…
>There will probably be a lot of people who have the same thing to say about Rodney Dangerfield: no respect, I tell ya. The greatest interview I ever heard was Howard Stern and Rodney, I learned a lot about the guy… and he really didn’t get any respect, it wasn’t just an act — he worked with his life experiences. He was an artist, same as many other comics. He got to live out his life (for the most part), where many burn out and go pop. There’s a pressure to always be funny, a lot of people can’t handle…
>My apologies to everyone — guess who forgot to renew their domain registration! So it’s all back now, and I figured I’d update a little. I have done an audioblog here and there ineptness — unfortunately I forgot to hit pound, and 1… So it never saved and/or posted. .:sigh:. One was a giant pumpkin sighting on my way up to VT for my brother’s 40th birthday. It drove by me on the highway going the other way, and was quite a sight. It was giant, orange, a bit like a parade float — possibly on the way to the…
>I had a dream I was in a factory. My dad had just gotten a new job as head manager or something. His new apt/house was really nice, large, with glass walls everywhere. I had a job at the factory, I think… or I just hung around at the factory with the people who worked there. The factory turned out to be a reality show/movie where they spent the whole movie just doing normal factory stuff, people mad at bosses, working hard to impress… until I figured out it was a show when I looked under my bed at home…

>So whats with the lack of text? I’m busy as fuck, that’s what. MiniDisks I tell ya what, I’ve just used my MiniDisk for the first time in about 5 years, since 1999 to be exact. When the 2 pre-recorded minidisks I had were recorded these were the hot songs: Britney Spears – “Baby, Hit Me One More Time” Madonna – “The Power Of Goodbye” Everlast – “What It’s Like” I am keeping those, but I have a whole bunch of blank ones still and I’ll tell ya what: Who needs an MP3 player when you’ve got minidisks?! I’ve still…
>I’m sick of not following my instincts. Yet again I’ve had the correct feeling about a person. I ran the credit report of the latest applicant, apparently the social security number is for a much older person by the same name. It’s full of holes, an eviction in the neighborhood, and credit issues. I’m sick of wasting money on this crap! GRA!
>I must ween myself, if I ever hope to get a job. The need is more now then ever, I could of course take the easy way out as a few people I know have done. However, I need to do this for myself, to prove I can do it. I need another way to deal other then to turn to a vice. I worry that it’ll always be a major part of my life, and I’ve seen what goes along with it. I want to be free from it, as something that I have to do. It’s become less,…
>What is it about a job that makes a person feel worthwhile? That they have a purpose in this world? For me it’s the security that I retain my car, I’m able to feed myself, and I have a home. I’m feeling more and more like this is a lot to ask. I’ve gotten quite a few replies from my resume on Monster, but nothing’s panned out yet. My unemployment has run out, and I need to have my claim re-evaluated and approved. They look at how much I’ve earned over the past year and give me half of that,…
>I’m watching the last episode of XFiles. I suppose it could be considered cheating since I didn’t bother to watch the rest of them. I just couldn’t resist watching what finally explains everything. It’s incredible the story they thought up to justify the rest of the episodes… or maybe they had the plan all along… but probably not. I don’t think anyone could plan 9 seasons ahead, unless they knew they had some good stuff =] At any rate it’s really great, check it out and awe the clout. ~~~~ I found this article on how parents now-a-days can’t seem…
>Looking for stuff? Got free stuff to offer? Check out FreeCycle.org for your local chapter (yahoo groups). My sister turned me on to it, they’ve given a school desk and a couple other items… a great alternative to eBay! It’s targeted at non-profit organizations, but individuals are welcome as well. Just make sure that you give them first pick if they are interested in an item.
>Email 4 Sail
>I was just thinking about this guy I met at a rave once, at the horrible disgusting thing that was (still is?) the Muni. He was from E.Longmeadow and from what I remember I sold him an email address, but couldn’t contact him at the number he gave. I had given him my email address, but never heard from him again. I created the account, but it was never used. BTW:: Email addresses (webmail) only $5 a year. Available Domains: katerocks.com cgsystems.biz finishlinegfx.com POP3 Email account for $20 a year. >Back from VT
>I just got back from VT — it was just what I needed, some time away from it all. I’m home, kinda wish I was still up on the top of the mountain. Nicole and I headed up to my brother’s on Friday, he lives up on a mountain in Fletcher VT. It’s right next to Armstrong Mtn, and very close to Smugger’s Notch. We were hell-bent on camping, so after reservations at the Green River Reservoir fell through — we headed up to my brother’s mountain. We did an initial survey to see if there was suitable camping area…
>Jay Met a Girl
>Jay and I went to pool tonight. It was a lot of fun, I had some drink… it had flies, and thus drank for free the rest of the night. We got home safely, Jay even brought along a young lady we met there. He had to work tomorrow morning, but she seemed quite fond of the young gentleman. It was touching. =]
>iTunes has gone country. Jedd Hughes… I kinda like it. Not the type of song you can acknowledge positively in public. If it was on you might not say anything… simply letting it slide by in the background. I’m in a music mode this evening. I found a few more CDs I thought I had lost, they were in my CD binder of all places. I’m adding them to the iMac. I’ve rated every song I’ve put on this thing (iMac, present… most used for terminal goodness) and need more music! It only plays the 4-Star, 5-star or Unrated songs…
>A burst of summer, a last hurrah. It’s damn hot. I’ll take it though, glad to see another little reminder before we all slink back into the cold. For a few mornings it was certainly fall outside. I even brought a jacket with me one morning. The end of classes are coming up, then I’ll need to find a job to support myself with all my newfound knowledge. Unfortunately there really isn’t much available, and even less if there’s no certifications. Things are going OK with the business, especially for just starting out. I finally have an image, have some…
>URG, many tribulations. New site. It’s the offical launch of the new business, and it even matches the business cards! A theme is very important, and the theme here is quality craftsmanship, a promise set in stone. I will be more permanant then most are used to in the computer business because I build it right. These systems are built to last 2 to 3 years and give many hours of enjoyment in the meanwhile, all the while maintaining upgradability.
