>I am back doing Fleet again. Last night was longer then it needed to be, though it was close (Chicopee) for a change. I tend to work fast anyway, but I was done swapping out systems in 11 teller windows & the drive through before he had 4 offices done in the back where they’re on desks (thereby easier to reach all the wires). We were out by 10:30, but it could have been 9:00! — or at least 9:30. In the middle of my work I heard from Jon Harvey. He called me on his way home from work,…

>What the hell is wrong with me?

>Why do I have to inherit this trait from my Father? Just now, I woke from a near-sleep, got up and had to look all around my room until I found my keys. Not my car keys to get to work tomorrow, or the keys to get in the house — those were right here where I knew where they were. My problem was that I couldn’t precisely figure out where I had put my spare car key. I had it on this thing, then I moved things around… but couldn’t account for it’s current location so I had to…

>All it takes is snow to put me in the holiday spirit =] Today was the first snow, it’s still going and more peaceful already. I got a GameCube game the other day, it’s Mortal Kombat 2, 3, Primal Rage, Super Sprint, Hard Drivin’, all the cabinet games that rocked the world… and a few that I never knew about (like “Timber”) all playable on GameCube. Oh yeah. Here are some moves, fatalities, friendships, etc for Mortal Kombat 2.

>Great news! Share in the great love that is iTunes with my iTunes Tutorial. It’s under Tutorials / Ripping an Audio CD. When you click the link a new window should open. 1024 x 768 + screen resolution recommended. It’s a rough draft, so comments are welcome. If you get ViewPoint media player from installing iTunes (not really classified as spyware yet, but it’s suspicious), I apologize in advance. This seems to have just recently come about with the new 4.7 version. If you see “Viewpoint Manager” in your system tray or control panel, simply go to Add/Remove Programs &…

>2 HOT FER INTURNET! SEXXXY!!! It took me all of 5 minutes to find these picures …yawn. WARNING:: Red Hot Nippledge! ::WARNING …I opened up my home page and wondered why Tara Reid was #1 on the search engine results. I found out. I love how “wardrobe malfunction” is the new buzzword, and the pr0n industry likes to call them “nipple slips” “The internet’s #1 largest collection of nipple slips!” ~ yadda yadda yadda. Have some nipple with your coffee.

>Multi-media… comin’ at_cha. ~ some loops I made in Reason2, check them out, use them in a song or something… I’m still working on learning the program.

>CNN Newsreel (Netscape Feedroom), why pay for CNN video access when Netscape gives you CNN clips? Check out today’s video of the day. (right click and choose “save as…”)

>So here’s this poll. 38 percent of people polled said they were upset over the presidential results. 51 voted for the guy, that leaves a good chunk that accept the decision. Is it actually official yet? Do they stop counting when he concedes? I’m not sure. The biggest problems with voting, from people I’ve spoken with were: the distance to get to the place where they were registered many were unsure of where they were supposed to go to vote they had never actually registered to begin with they hadn’t registered when they renewed their license, so they were still…

>It was 206(R) to 204(D) for a little while, but now it’s 246(R) to 206(D). The popular vote is sticking 51%(R) to 48%(D). It’s hardly budged all night, currently within 3 million votes 43M to 40M. Side note:: FinishLineGFX.com will be featured on ABC 40, watch News 40 to see the ads!

>Well — it’s election night. Who would have thought the polls would accurately reflect the popular vote. It’s 49% to 51% — too bad the electoral vote decides first. California has a lot of electoral votes… right…? So, there’s still hope? Yes?! .:sigh:. The Daily Show special just ended: “…and if you just joined us, the country is mostly red with some blue states all huddled in the corner here… which is where most of us will probably be spending the next 4 years.” I’m still hopeful.

>I’m not sure about my posture, but damn if I don’t feel like I’m really doing something with this laptop topped on my lap. I’m tapping off emails like there’s no tomorrow, no wires, click — email, click — type type type reply, click — no new email, click click — blog blog blog. I really like this keyboard, it’s so small and compact, yet not at all. It’s got all the keys I need in all the right places, I’m able to perch it almost vertically on my legs as it’s so light, and can type type type a…

>Job Ramblings

>Man — what am I getting myself into? I need to supply my own cable, RJ-45 jacks, cable management supplies, etc. I have to purchase all this stuff retail, today, to be ready for tomorrow. I’m going to try Radioshack first, then Lowes and see if I might be able to get some contractor rates. I’m currently listening to an hour long web conference, pre-recorded, slides, etc. I’m waiting to call the addendum phone conference as I’m over my phone minutes again this month. With T-Mobile I can change my plan from 600 to 3000 minutes for $10 more a…

>Well, wouldn’t ya know it? I’ve got them beating down my door! 😉 Actually there’s a technician that dropped out in the middle of a project for RollOuts so they just called me up. There’s about 6 jobs this week, 4 hours a job, scattered around CT. It’s most likely at a mall, it’s POS, some cabling… and that’s all I know at this point. I’m waiting for my login info to be reset so I can accept the project and start downloading the info I need. I suppose this laptop will come in handy after-all and as long as…

>I could have had a job today (for Fleet) — but I’m not going to cow-tow. I can’t go out to Boston with only 4 hours notice. Granted: there’s nothing going on today, but there could be. I am still recovering from being sick, so it’s just as well I don’t go out there. I guess the jobs are on a day to day basis now? I don’t like that, and was hoping that not being available tonight might just force him into planning ahead. I need work, but I’ll be damned if I’m gonna jump through hoops when they…

>I had to watch American Beauty the other night after thinking about the dancing plastic bag(s). The bag wasn’t as dramatic as it once was. Maybe I wore out the bag’s novelty =] In any case I had a surprise while watching it. When the neighbor’s Jim & Jim are outside at the beginning with their little dog they scold it — “Bad Fitzi, that’s a bad dog” I wonder if I had that in my subconcious, or it could simply be a convenient cooincidence. They’ve reworked the map just in time for the election.

>iMac => XP Pro

>I’ve done it, I’ve installed WinXP on my iMac. Connectix Virtual PC 6.0 allows me to load any operating system. If you can boot from the CD, you can install it. You could probobly use a boot disk too, but who uses disks? =]~ I’m amazed. I’ve got a 1ghz and 786mb of RAM running OSX. The virtual PC it creates has a basic soundcard and video card (Trident S3) and whatever hard drive space you have currently. It uses the other hardware just as a PC would (DVD Drive, etc), although it’s got a software layer inbetween so it’s…
