>I hate to be a one note horse here, but what do you do when all of a sudden you don’t feel welcome? — I asked my friend who was going with another friend to go out to eat if they would mind if I tagged along. I was greeted with silence : OK, I can take a hint, that’s fine, but then she said “well, you comin?” when she was ready to leave, without really saying anything in-between, like “Yeah! Come on!” or even a “sure”. I said OK — we were taking separate cars, but I had issues…

>I love it when people don’t realize what they’re saying. When it’s so egotistical, foolish, unthinking, and inconsiderate that it makes one cringe… I caught the meaning, but try to formulate the words so as to not insinuate an insult, a dig, or a gloat. Sheesh. (…or maybe I’m just jealous)

>I went to the Springfield Quadrangle today with Jon, Heather, Scott, & Laura. Check out the link for some really cool pictures of our day out (and me with Dr Suess, or Stan Lee as I like to call him). There was many an interesting thing, with a few uninteresting things inbetween. I’m always one for the history of the local area, and was particularly taken by the maps of old Springfield. Shortly after it’s being founded, it was divided up into rectangles on the map. Each rectangle had the owners name on it, and you could see many people…

>I was playing with the search engine thingy — it has text ads, at least it’s not in your face flashing .gifs everywhere. It has a few “recommended links” to the right as well, depending what they want to sell and what you were searching for. In the process of indexing: look what I found! I’m about to write something similar the last entry yet again — but I’ll get more into that in a bit. The Real Hussein (flash)

>I really want to write about last night — but first… the whores! (er… links) Any domains that I come across that are featured will be added to the links page for easy retrieval at a later date. I’m also well on my way to adding a search function to scour the past entries… will be adding that soon (and should be ad free if I can finangle the .cgi). Check out this keyboard for pirates (posted July 3rd). Check out this movie of “The Honda Commercial Americans wouldn’t get“. (flash 6 required) A naughty film (QT) with thumbs? WOW!…

>(for when you come home drunk this evening and still don’t quite want to go to bed) Virtual Mac OSX 10.3 (Panther) – walk-through Some bands haave decided to shun the per track iTunes sales model Just can’t seem to manually ping Weblogs.com for your site correctly? That’s because the link to it’s broken, but a little investigation finds improper capitalization at fault… that’s why lowercase is so great! Apparently there’s a bit of a hacker contest going on this weekend. I suppose it’s a good time to do it, considering limited admins available due to the holiday. Hey look!…

>Uh oh – first sign of the Googlopolypse: ~ Blogger is advocating the “free Google toolbar” ~ The free Google toolbar is infamous for it’s information collecting and privacy concerns. Yes — millions of people everywhere trust you not to throw a sneaky little thing like that onto blogger.com… and there it is. I feel productive, made the most of my limited break time here @ work — CSS is a wonderful thing. In other words the links page looks fairly normal — now just to fill in the empty spaces. I’m still partial to the white. I’m going to…

>So I had to bring my car in for an electrical issue (yeah, the one I just bought… with 5000 miles on it). From what the service guy said they’re having similar issues with all the Mazdaspeed models due to the extra complicated alarm (shock sensor). I don’t give a hoot about the sophisticated stock alarm… active word here being stock — no. I need to have it working correctly first – however, as that is what the warranty is all about and also that way they won’t be able to blame it on the aftermarket alarm if anything should…

>Well I recently added a new mini-section. You may have noticed the new links page. This was to give back to all those that have linked in the past… as I know my past page was pretty pathetic after only about a month. 😉 I’ve also gone through the past 2 months of posts, pulled out any major domain and/or major link that I might refer to. The newest addition, boasas.com is a rather amusing comic. You’ll find that under “B”… it ought to be fairly self explanatory. I’ve stuck to alphabetizing by the domain name, though I’ll use the…

>I got going a little later then I expected, today… but got my oil changed, went to go pick up my Dad, and we were on our way. I actually got him talking a little bit, few snippets here and there. We would feed off of external stimulus to find topics of discussion – a car that I’d see, would maybe lead to a story that he had. At one point I even asked him what he had to do in his younger days – “well, just hang out with my friends – go swimming, that was about it” (always…

>Tomorrow I don’t have to work — going on a sort of follow-up jaunt with my father to NY. I’m hoping that driving around his old stomping grounds will bring out some stories that I know he’s got in there… he just can’t recall very well unless he sees it, needs something to jar the memories loose. My main objective in this endeavor is to be able to talk to my father in a 1 on 1 setting, maybe learn more about his past, and hopefully get some lessons from it without letting him know. He never really wanted to…

>Check out these lesser known state mottos. Even god enjoys diggin on this guy. A handy list for purchasing music. Biography: Krang. I don’t know what I’m going to do with the mega-super-fighting-chicken-gigantica list of links that I accumulated last week. I never got time to post them so I have a very long list of semi-old stuff, maybe I’ll just sort through it again and put the best of the best.

>Today’s theme: mini-thoughts I’ve been making ice coffee @ work as of late. A movie cup (glow in the dark “Hulk” cup in this case) filled with ice plus a regular cup of coffee (with fake cream and sugar already mixed in hot) out of my trusty company mug. Now that’s d e l i c i o u s! It’s really hot lately too — I have yet to grab a brand new window fan (planned on buying several for the house). I’m thinking that now that it’s 90+ they’ll be sold out again if the demand is anywhere…

>Yesterday I went to Providence — the original plan was to go to Worcester, check out the hustle and bustle that pops up for summer. I was hanging out with Laura, couldn’t find anyone to go with us so she called some friends in Providence to meet us there. They’d already done a ton of driving over the weekend, so they weren’t really up for the trek. Almost to Worcester, and having nothing to really -do- in Worcester, we decided to drive on to Providence. We went to her sorority sister’s apt, where they’re staying for the summer. Hung out…

>After a bit of phone tag, it appears I was too late — already have plans, things never seem to work out about every other time we try and hang out — oh well =]

>Surprise phone call as I’m about to leave work… A message from this afternoon — I don’t have my phone on me, so didn’t get the msg until I just checked my voicemail. It’s certainly not the call I would have expected, but it’s welcome.

>I have to think of a new music page format, might just put up a list of the few “song blogs” that I have. One for rock, one for techno, and I’ll eventually have one for hiphop – though hard coding it has worked so far. I have to be able to listen to a song a lot without it losing its novelty for it to make the list(s), and hiphop can lose it quite quickly. There are a few from 1999-2001 that remain my staples, still others that I’m absolutely sick of but haven’t made it out of my…

>We’re almost ready for the new design, it’s updated… so check out the link from a few days ago. The week’s winding up again, it’s Friday. My friend just picked up her first real car – 2003 Ford Focus. No doubt a reasonable 4 cyl, but not bad for a first car =] The good news is there’ll be hopefully not as much running around when I want to hang out with her — the bad news… I doubt I’ll be chillin with her as much because she’ll be busy running around seeing all the friends she hasn’t been able…

>The magic tree, it gives great fruit. Come try it with me, attack the mute. You’ve done it once, Now try it twice. Taste the fruit of true delight. Oh they won’t mind, Don’t mind them. You’re here right now, I’m your friend. Just go ahead, You’ll be just fine eat it… eat it… your soul is mine

>Ok — weird. As I’m coming in to work today I think I fell into a bit of a wormhole. I get out of my car and am walking towards the building, notice the very fine mist raining down… I hear a girl screaming – “Noooooooooo! Noooo!” I get closer and there she is coming around the corner of the building. She had an empty leash in her hand, clad all in red vinyl with plastic “jelly shoes” heals. She had wild brown curly hair, and her face was covered in blotches of blush? eyeshadow? it was so haphazard, it…

>Ok – things have quieted down since… I’m a little bit more at ease. Everything seems to come up all at once, a nice little wave that comes in every couple weeks or so. I’ll learn my little lesson from Finding Nemo – “…well, you can’t never let anything happen to him. Then… nothing would ever happen to him.” so with those words of wisdom I know that life is difficult when it’s interesting. It can’t really be interesting without being difficult – that’s the challenge, right?

>Nice little whirlwind — wish = null/void, and had to try and express my feelings to boot. I like dealing with emotional issues while attempting to do every day tasks, helps with the challenge. …and then there’s a call from my landlord about how they don’t want the ex-housemate there: “we don’t trust him”. Well I can guarantee there won’t be any issues – the people you ought to be worried about is little-miss-troublesome’s little friends. Sketchy sketchy sketchy… and you’re worried about people that I chose to live with? Why? We’re just trying to live our lives, same as…

>Cold Play – “In My Place” In my place, in my place The lines I couldn’t change I was lost, oh yeah I was lost… I was lost… Crossed lines I shouldn’t have crossed I was lost… oh yeah. Yeaaaaaaah, how long must you wait for… yeaaaaaah how long must you pay for… wait… wait for it. ~that about sums up my head right now
