>In response to the Anthrax thing 2 years ago the Post Office has come up with kind of a scary concept, 1984 anyone? There has already been an attempt to counterfeit the new 20s. Leave it to Massachusetts to be the first. Halloween is almost upon us, since I was such a diligent worker and came in when I was uh *ahem* sick, they gave me Friday off — so no delay in party for me! I’ve got new pictures of Fitzi – look for those in the next couple of days. I should also have pictures from Halloween, or…
>** Mental Cleansing Entry ** I’m done with my room, with a little help from Rachel — It’s all painted and arranged, it finally feels like my room. There’s still many piles of CDs to sift through, things to find a place for but it looks good. I bought carpets for the rest of the house, a small step in the right direction for completion of the household. I got frames for posters and various pieces of art I’ve collected, hung them up in my room and in various places throughout the house. I’ve still got a few select items…
>Metrosexuals:: I mentioned it back in July. South Park’s new episode topic: Merosexuals Wonderful! Just when I thought South Park couldn’t get any closer to the pulse of society… they amaze me once again. I’m watching it currently… and “OMG — “I’m SOOOOO happy they’ve done this!” I can’t wait for the resurgence of the subject in the media, because of it. Trey Parker, Matt Stone — you are what this country needs. Keep it up! (I’m lovin it!) 😉 They best part of it all: two words — crab people.
>I’m currently listening to what I’m guessing is Paul Oakenfold’s new CD — Great Wall (CD 1) — courtesy of iTunes:: XTC Radio 160kbs. It sounds awsome, and he appears to be going in more of the direcftion of pop. I heard mixed in versions of “Justin Timberlake – Cry Me a River” and “Madonna – Holywood”. It’s all very good with a sort of ambient background inbetween the major tunes. It’s always progressing, which is why I like Oakenfold — so look out for it, or at least tune in via iTunes.
>Everyone seems to be raving about the “new 20s“, I’ve heard about it all over the place. I first saw it mentioned on The Daily Show of all places, then saw the commercial they were speaking of. I bought something on Friday — the new $20 was the most exciting thing the two clerks had ever come across. I was expecting a “well shuckee durn dare” any second. Tonight at GAP, it was again… a very enthusiastic topic of discussion, and again at the sports bar where I stopped in after work to grab a drink (and check up on…
>There seems to be an issue in Springfield — sucky time of year for it too: Friends of mine put in their new gas line, or was it furnace? In any case the inspector has to come out and look at it before they can use it. Normal turn around time: 48 hours Current turn around time: week + They’re unable to use their furnace in the meantime and have been resorting to leaving their oven open to provide the measly bit of heat they have. It’s good that it’s not freezing out yet, or they’d be screwed. Now that…
>I have no need for any other music program, ever. iTunes has arrived for all. …on a side note:: nothing. =] I’ve been happy chilling at home the past week or so. I got my PC back up and running, and it seems just in time for the good stuff (like iTunes). I used the Gyration brand wireless mouse and keyboard at Justin’s and I was hooked. Having just hooked up said PC to the TV and Receiver in the living room… I had to have it. In fact I’m on it right now. I can finally have my cake…
>I saw School of Rock this evening and unlike most movies that look good in the previews, this movie offered a very long “good part” that lasted the whole movie through. Very rare occurrence. I got the same good feeling as after “Uptown Girls”. It was funny, and well done. Go Jack Black, you deserve it!
>Whew, well — birthdays completed successfully, other then the fact that Caitlin ended up breaking her leg. Imagine that. It was the day prior, she was on crutches so didn’t make it any worse… but had been assuming a sprain, until it worsened. She broke it pretty damn good too. I love when I hear that CD Protection doesn’t work and it’s especially amusing when it’s because of the “SHIFT” key. Arnold Schwarzenegger is Governor of CA. I never thought it would happen. We’re 2 steps away from realizing the future portrayed by Demolition Man. First they need to repeal…
>Too Many Birthdays!!!
>There are too many birthdays as of late. My Mom’s birthday is Sunday, as is Rachel’s — Caitlin’s is Saturday, and Laura’s is coming up one of these days. There’s a big party tomorrow night for Caitlin. I was going to go visit Mom tomorrow, but I have to work… I guess today would have been a good day, but I ended up finally painting, with a little help. I need to make Mom feel special, but already promised the day — before I remembered my Mom’s. .:sigh:. I was thinking of a morning surprise, maybe a breakfast — let’s…
