OK, I'm posting this because I want to see more of this in the world:
Elegant sexy:
darker sheer top, or detailed sheer top w/ elegant b
fnets with a more demure dress, basic black
pair basic dress, pair with high heels
high waist pants, low cut top, long sleeve, tucked into pants, unbuttoned top

Everyone loves sexy, but it tends to look trashy when done over the top. Elegant sexy creates a sexy look from otherwise conservative clothing.

Spent the weekend relaxing. We headed up to VT for Thanksgiving, and it was good to see a few family members. It was larger then normal, still felt a bit odd. I'm more at ease with Nicole's family then my own =]

I will put this right up at the top to show my friend Bim how easy it is.
He's currently getting hooked up with his mom's friend (his age, you sicko!) and recently went on a date with her. He tried his best to act like a dingo - letting her pay for everything, not opening doors, and just being contradictory. It didn't really work because she told his mom they "had a nice time" and they're apparently going out again. Halarious! (but wait!)

His plans are now to bring his friend along next time and make her pay for both of them. (BOOYA!) Come to think of it... I did that too :]~ Me and Jay took advantage quite a few times of someone who just didn't want to take the hint.

My next little tidbit is regarding the kids these days. I read this article and the title says it all: With Kids, is 10 the new 15? Kids are always going to try and do what they see, unless the parent puts a stop to it. Everyone wants to grow up too fast, but they don't know why, and they don't know the ramifications of growing up. When you're considered an adult, you're going to have adult problems, adult things to do that aren't fun. Enjoy your childhood. Don't cut it short.

Finally - here's some comparisons between AMD64 and Intel64. I don't think I'll be switching anytime soon, and I have a tailored version of XP64, switching would mean I'd have to buy a different one. OYE!

So I went down to the local Holyoke Mall to interview those waiting in line for the PS3.
Here are the results:

Total People: 48
Best Buy - 20
Target - 16
Circuit City - 12

Hours Waiting:

A few people of note, the person in line 1st at Best Buy was there for 45 hours, had a 720p HDTV and was keeping it.
A little girl in line at Target, probably not getting one, had been there for a couple hours and didn't have an HDTV.
The young woman in front of her had a tent and had been there for about 5 hours. She said she already had 3 secured so she was probably keeping it. Her boyfriend and his friend worked at Circuit City and they had someone who they agreed to split the profits on waiting in line there.
The 1 guy in the Circuit City line who had a 1080p HDTV was one away from getting a voucher at 8pm, only 2 people said they'd keep them in the line at Circuit City and they both had HDTV.

My inquiry was well received, overall. I ran into some youngins at Circuit City who seemed to enjoy the concept of someone asking them questions about waiting in line for PS3. The guy at the front of the line at Best Buy told me I was not actually the first one to do this, go fig. I didn't hear about anyone doing this, and I don't think anyone was polling for HDTVs but it struck me on the way home - "How many people actually have the TV to handle this" as the results turn out they won't need the HDTVs because the majority are selling them.

I reserved a PS2 when they first came out, got my first one from EB Games, and after hearing they were bad I tried it out. Good thing I did because it ended up being bad. I sent it back and was able to send the unopened box directly to the eBay buyer after a few pleading emails for their patience due to the replacement coming in.
I got one maybe a month later when they were back in stores.

I saw the PS3 in action inside Best Buy. Every guy who walked by stopped in their tracks. It looks really good, so incredibly clear, and they didn't even have it on 1080p. It's going to raise the bar, and that's good.

All in all it was a good social experiement. It was a little awkward at first, but got into it, and almost everyone was really pleasant about it.

I'm certainly excited about PS3 coming out, and so are a bunch of other people. Check out the links above for a few of the more enthusiastic PS3 hopefuls.

I won't be buying one and I'm not as excited as I could be if I could realize the full potential of the PS3. That made me wonder how many people were buying them for themselves vs selling them on eBay. I also wondered what kind of TV they had at home.

I'm about to hit the local mall to ask some questions of the patrons waiting in line for their PS3. I'll post the results once I return.

I forgot to mention the funny moment from Saturday night.
I walked to the store with Jon to go get some cigars, and the guy behind the counter was quite a character.

20 something, he reminded me of a classic highschool character: the big dumb jock. He was large, blonde, and spoke slowly:
"So did you hear about Northampton?"
"No"
"Apparently the power went out... they... they got people looting downtown."
"Wow"
"They don't really think it's terrorists or anything. I mean... they're not going to come here, knock out the power then go back over the ocean."
"huh"

We were both amazed at the connection this guy had just made.
How do you do that??!! What goes through your head that it's a possibility?
I mean... it's Northampton! Essentially nowhere, at least in the eyes of terrorists.

That lead into some good schtick regarding Muslims going after the lesbians...

Not much to post.
I've been playing a lot of Battlefield 2142, unlocked all the Engineer's items, and I'm now working on the individual abilities so I can run faster, jump higher... it's very fun, and I think I'm better at it then BF2, but I'll attribute that to the new tools.

We went to Paul's party on Saturday, it was fun - I played guitar hero for the first time, and Jon and Heather were back from Cali, so it was good to see them. We didn't stay all that late, Nicole was tired, and I guess I was as well. Sunday ended up being a change in plans. I wanted to go check out a Winery with Sarah and Gerry but I forgot my wallet, and since we had to go back to the house anyhow my responsibility got the better of me and Nicole cleaned the house while I went out food shopping.

It was just as well because we now have food, and still had some fun that night playing Cities & Knights at Chris and Kelly's. I like Cities and Knights so much better then Settlers. Chris cited the simplicity factor of Settlers but that's what I don't like, same as I like the more complicated 2142 over BF2. I need lots of levels so I at least feel like I have a strategy.

I've already got my plans laid out for this weekend, so now just to get through the week at work. There's all sorts of deadlines, DBs that should have been done weeks ago. I've got a new project coming up though. More programming in .NET - a lot of fun, but there always seems to be something else that comes up with a higher priority before I get the first project all the way done.

At least 3 Web sites, computer to build for Jamie, all sorts of work on the plate.
You'd think I ought to be able to put down BF for a bit...
