So whats with the lack of text? I'm busy as fuck, that's what.
MiniDisksI tell ya what, I've just used my MiniDisk for the first time in about 5 years, since 1999 to be exact. When the 2 pre-recorded minidisks I had were recorded these were the hot songs: Britney Spears - "Baby, Hit Me One More Time" Madonna - "The Power Of Goodbye" Everlast - "What It's Like"
I am keeping those, but I have a whole bunch of blank ones still and I'll tell ya what: Who needs an MP3 player when you've got minidisks?! I've still got my minidisk deck and portable player that I purchased as a set, circa 1996/97 and it still works like a dream.
I'm currently using iTunes to play my best tracks, sorted by date added to my library. The newest of the best, 80 min at a time.
- Digital input
- digital volume leveling
- track tagging/titles.
The stability of solid state media in a convenient digital package. Eat it up, love it, live it... M i n i D i s k: it ain't dead -- BEAOTCH!

I'm sick of not following my instincts. Yet again I've had the correct feeling about a person. I ran the credit report of the latest applicant, apparently the social security number is for a much older person by the same name. It's full of holes, an eviction in the neighborhood, and credit issues. I'm sick of wasting money on this crap! GRA!

I must ween myself, if I ever hope to get a job. The need is more now then ever, I could of course take the easy way out as a few people I know have done. However, I need to do this for myself, to prove I can do it. I need another way to deal other then to turn to a vice.
I worry that it'll always be a major part of my life, and I've seen what goes along with it. I want to be free from it, as something that I have to do. It's become less, as of late... and there's nothing wrong with anything in moderation, but there's a time and a place for everything. I'm finding that this is no longer the time, and not really the place.

What is it about a job that makes a person feel worthwhile? That they have a purpose in this world? For me it's the security that I retain my car, I'm able to feed myself, and I have a home. I'm feeling more and more like this is a lot to ask. I've gotten quite a few replies from my resume on Monster, but nothing's panned out yet. My unemployment has run out, and I need to have my claim re-evaluated and approved. They look at how much I've earned over the past year and give me half of that, just like when my claim first started, but half of half of what I was earning previously isn't all that much.
I feel like I need to start selling things, but no one else has any money either. If I could sell the new system I just made that would help a great deal. I can even accept credit cards via PayPal. I could sell the iMac if it came down to it, but I probably wouldn't get enough for me to want to part with it. I'd sell it anyway. I'd sell my TV, and my couch too... so if anyone's interested in any of those, make me an offer.
I just got off the phone with unemployment. Since I've managed to stretch my unemployment by working part time, 52 weeks instead of the normal 30 weeks, I'm kinda screwed, kinda not. I get less money now, the whole claim is re-evaluated according to my earnings over the past year, a loss of about $100 a week before taxes. I think it's another 30 weeks, however. It'll be a while before it all goes through... so no money in the meanwhile.
I feel like I'm slowly drowning. I'm trying not to spend any extra money, will really be sticking to it now -- I've got no other choice.
Potential Roommate #1 came over, checked out the place... and lied to me right off the bat. I don't blame someone for not wanting to say that they live at home but when you tell me "the house was just sold, they're trying to get everyone out and it's hard to find a place in Springfield" and then I call your "landlord" and it's your father... and he's a dick to me, well that just doesn't say too much. He answered the phone, I very nicely said who I was, that I had just spoken with Carmen and wanted to see what kind of tenant she had been. "I'm her father" Well I can't imagine you'd have anything but good things to say about your daughter... "OK bye".
I think this is the same guy who called me at 10:00 this morning for the 2nd time in a couple days: "who is this?" "I don't know -- you called me" "you called my house" "maybe a few days ago, answering a msg regarding rooms for rent" "oh - I gave her the msg, goodbye"
Sheesh.
I'm supposed to be meeting with another guy looking for a place, disabled, gets a check... looking for a place to move out of his sisters. I just can't believe the people this ad is attracting, where are the kids like me? I want people who have a job, have a car, maybe even parents who'll be paying for everything!
I've checked out other places around here, the least I'd be paying is like $400 for a room... $850 for 3 bedroom, $650 for 2-3 bedroom... so it's all comparable to what I've got. I might as well make the best of it.
That is, unless I can find a job -- then I could move where I wanted, live on my own... or at least with only 1 roommate. I'm just very very discouraged right now, the weekend did me well, but here I am back to reality.
Reality is what you make it. I want my reality to be living in a house with friends. I want to have a good job, a job that I enjoy doing, but I can make do with anything for about $10 an hour right now. It's not too much to ask, $7 is not enough to live.
And the answer is "Dire Straits - Why Worry" =] ...create my reality, live my dream, and love it all in-between.

I'm watching the last episode of XFiles. I suppose it could be considered cheating since I didn't bother to watch the rest of them. I just couldn't resist watching what finally explains everything.
It's incredible the story they thought up to justify the rest of the episodes... or maybe they had the plan all along... but probably not. I don't think anyone could plan 9 seasons ahead, unless they knew they had some good stuff =]
At any rate it's really great, check it out and awe the clout.

I found this article on how parents now-a-days can't seem to say know. That is, of course, that they can afford anything their kids want.

Looking for stuff? Got free stuff to offer? Check out FreeCycle.org for your local chapter (yahoo groups).
My sister turned me on to it, they've given a school desk and a couple other items... a great alternative to eBay! It's targeted at non-profit organizations, but individuals are welcome as well. Just make sure that you give them first pick if they are interested in an item.

I was just thinking about this guy I met at a rave once, at the horrible disgusting thing that was (still is?) the Muni. He was from E.Longmeadow and from what I remember I sold him an email address, but couldn't contact him at the number he gave. I had given him my email address, but never heard from him again. I created the account, but it was never used.
BTW:: Email addresses (webmail) only $5 a year. Available Domains: katerocks.com cgsystems.biz finishlinegfx.com
POP3 Email account for $20 a year. Available Domains: Synthetic-X.com

I just got back from VT -- it was just what I needed, some time away from it all.
I'm home, kinda wish I was still up on the top of the mountain.
Nicole and I headed up to my brother's on Friday, he lives up on a mountain in Fletcher VT. It's right next to Armstrong Mtn, and very close to Smugger's Notch. We were hell-bent on camping, so after reservations at the Green River Reservoir fell through -- we headed up to my brother's mountain. We did an initial survey to see if there was suitable camping area up there, and in fact there was a perfect camp site. Up on the very top, a solid rock with a bed of moss was our home for the weekend. We blazed our own trail up with our equipment and set up camp. I hauled some rocks up to make a fire circle, and we set up the tent on a perfectly-sized bed of moss. It was a deligtful little camp, we even had front steps down to the path.
It was just as well that we didn't get reservations at the resevoir because we had quite a time finding it. We headed out Saturday morning with a map, a borrowed truck, and two brand new kayaks. It took us about 2 & 1/2 hours to find it after stopping 3 times for directions. Everyone would describe the same thing, but it wasn't what we were seeing when we went down the road, after trying all possibilities, going up a few driveways, and even turning around at the entrance to the resevoir (there is no sign... someone stole it I guess?), we finally arrived.
The resevoir was beautiful, there are campsites all around the lake, which is humongous, with even a few island sites. We checked out a few for "next time" and pretty much got the entire tour of the area while stopping to eat our sandwiches and beers in places. Most of the good sites that we noticed were closed for rehabitation... but 29 through 32 are all excellent. If you want to check it out it's in Hyde Park, VT -- Green River Resevoir. It's very northern VT, and give yourself plenty of time for both finding the resevoir and your site. I'll post some directions and info on it in the future. Though I'd advise going back when there's not so many other people are trying to have a vacation at the same time =]
So it was wonderful to be where we were, the first people to camp at a given spot, high above everything... and still within close proximity of my brother's should we need any ameneties. I wish I had gotten some pictures of the camp, but it will all look much better when I cut the view out of the current tree line. It's all grown up, and there's quite a bit of brush blocking a perfectly wonderful view. I'll take care of that next time ^-^
I feel refreshed, rejuvinated. Ahh.

Jay and I went to pool tonight. It was a lot of fun, I had some drink... it had flies, and thus drank for free the rest of the night. We got home safely, Jay even brought along a young lady we met there. He had to work tomorrow morning, but she seemed quite fond of the young gentleman. It was touching. =]
