I can't stop... so much input... mind, thinking. Now... tell me what you see.
Is it a 19? Look again... yeah? Eh? Eh?!! So 1 = A and 9 = I, AI. Ok that's cool, but here's what my brain really went off on:
What if Earth is in the G-spot right now (noooooo - as in good spot). As the planets circle the sun, they get further away... like Venus is becoming earth, it's pre-g-spot. Mars is post-g-spot, it was earth until it got further away from the sun and iced up. Maybe there used to be life on Mars, but they migrated to the next planet down, like we may someday do to Venus as it comes into the g-spot and we're going out of it.
Ok -- so it's really loose right now, but it really warped my mind for a minute... that is all.

I just watched Blade II -- hadn't seen it yet and was pleasantly surprised.
review: Whistler is back - he's a vampire, but not for long. Blade finds him after 2 years, busts him out and cleans him up. (The movie will go much easier if you don't ask questions, just sit back and enjoy the action.) Blade II does a good job of distracting you with action, most movies that make you ask questions make the mistake of giving you the time to think about them, not the case with this one.
The vampires have come across an anomaly - a creature that feeds on both vampires and humans. They are stronger, are made slightly different, and aren't as susceptible to the vampire norms. A truce is called and Blade joins with the vampires to hunt the new breed.
Filled with action, incredible effects, plot twists, and unforseeables this sequel out does the original by leaps and bounds. Make sure you've got DTS ES (or the Dolby equivalent, it's got both) for this one, no little beeps or occasional screams from the rear speakers, they're on as well as the bass -- fully -- for this one.

So I've been on a quest to quelsh an insatiable hunger... for music. You'd think it was 2000.
I'm going all for broke and Limewire is helping me do it. Written all in Java, it's gotten much less chunky over the past year or so. It can still be finicky, but the only "spyware" is limeshop - a web-shopping portal. It doesn't collect info unless you actually use that part of it which is easily avoided. The newest version of adaware will detect and remove it, anyhow.
Check out the following tracks: Olive - I'm Not In Love (Aurora Remix) Tech N9ne - I'm a Playa (Redeux of Rock Me Amadaus) ...and the super raw: Eamon - Fuck It
I've also posted the past track recommendations to the applicable sections on the Music page, along with a few others I haven't previously mentioned.
If you're a fan of Live DJ Sets (as I am) you must check out - djmixes2k.com, but please don't unless you have a) downloaded all the latest windows/IE security fixes & b) are confident in your internet knowledge.
The Anti-Leech plugin is needed. It's a sneaky bastard, but it's possible to use without getting spyware installed. The first time I downloaded, I was fine, no messages... the seccond thing I attempted to download I was prompted with a message to download Flashtalk. I was able to flag the site it was coming from as "untrusted" and to block it in the future.
If you don't know precisely what you're doing, please don't attempt it. I'd hate to recommend something to people only to infect them with more spyware.
[Mini-Rant] It seems the internet is becoming a regular war-zone. It's like people putting up their own detour signs on highways. They may look official to the untrained eye, and you may have no way of knowing until you find yourself on a dirt road in the middle of the woods lined with endless road-side stands touting wares, going 15mph to avoid the potholes. New computers come packed with programs to help make the bottom line lower for the consumer, like being able to buy a house for cheap because the bottom floor is already being rented out to hooligans.
For people new to the internet, there's no way of knowing one error message from another, and popup ads come from whatever site you're visiting anyway... so how is "Joe Schmo" able to tell the difference? They're not.
They can only hope they're able to remove the parasites with tools like Adaware, above. [/Mini-Rant]

Sickness: Day 3 They haven't asked me anything. The walls... they're closing in. The cat has sprouted a 2nd head, and the well has run dry.
It is only a matter of time before they learn how to open the door...
Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuust kidding!
Yeah, feeling a bit better. I actually got out of the house today, though I didn't make it to class. The only reason I left was that H&R Block was right next to the supermarket and I got almost everything I needed to do my taxes. Of course I didn't find out I was missing a few necessary tidbits until I got there (as is usual).
So I went over my taxes with the trusty H&R Block guy and it looks like I owe for both Federal and State - hooray! No "tax time splurging" for me! (ratzimafratzima...)
I then got some food, as I decided man can not live on cold medicine alone. Tissues, soup, tortilla chips, juice, and a delightful treat for a sore throat, frozen raspberries. Ingredients: raspberries, frozen.
I got home and organized my Family Guy episodes with the help of the episode guide. The DVD episodes aren't in the same order as they were aired, so it was a bit more work then I anticipated.
I also found a few songs I've been looking for, one of which is: The Stills - Still in Love Song While I was at it I checked out a few of their other tracks. If you're looking for really great bass lines - check them out, especially the track above.
Behold the exciting life of an A/V-phile.

I've been horribly sick the past few days. I'll stop short of saying it's the flu, but if it's not it's damn close. Aching, cold sweats, coughing and general nastyness -- it's been fairly sucky to say the least. I don't want to say it's the flu because I've refused to get a flu shot -- under the assumption that I'll end up getting the flu sooner then it'll prevent it.
At any rate I've stayed home, no school, no work. At least I've caught up on my DVD viewing ;) I feel very loved too, as I've had several friends stop by with various sickness provisions. Cough syrup, soup, bread, juice... things I needed but wasn't about to go out and get.
It snowed a lot today, so I was worried about shoveling -- but ended up having 3 separate people ring the door bell throughout the day looking to shovel/snowblow for money. I went with one young man: Ricky. It's hard to tell nowadays, his demeanor showed he was younger, maybe 17 max -- but otherwise he could have passed for someone my age. He was only asking $10, and for the walk and driveway, that's not bad. I didn't ask how much the guys with the snowblower wanted. He ended up doing a really good job, Scott kicked in $5 too, so I ended up giving him $15. Not bad for an hours work.
So here I am, hopped up on cold medicine, psudoephedrine pumping through my veins. Watching more TV with a kitty on my lap. I hope I'll work through this soon -- with maybe a day of crapiness ahead... possibly 2. I hate being sick, it's so unproductive... and I end up losing weight I can't afford to lose =] I haven't even been able to play video games, whats up with that?!
...now back to TV watching and kitty petting.

I watched a very interesting thing the other night. It was a NOVA special called The Elegant Universe regarding String Theory. String Theory states that particles such as protons, neutrons, and electrons are actually made up of vibrating strings.
Currently unable to be tested, but still rather interesting.
Sidenote: fixed the formatting error caused by the "Bootmark" results.

Update -- yeah...
so I started my MCSA/MCSE training: Network, Linux, Security... and I feel a bit more alive. Tired as hell cause I still haven't gotten my sleep schedule right yet -- and the head's chock full of thinking when I try and go to sleep, no matter how tired I am.
I had a dream the other night that I was sent over to Iraq without any training. I was out on the battle field, unprepared. I only had my small gun and didn't even have it out. I could have been shot by about 5 different guys, but they ignored me due to my obvious ineptitude with said weapon. I heard someone yelling to me - one of the others in my squad. They told me where my machine gun was -- I pulled it out, and ducked down. I attempted to shoot at people, and was readily shot the next time I popped up.
I could feel tightness in my chest, an ache... and was really stressed when I woke.
A night or so after that I had a dream somewhat resembling an episode of "junkyard wars". I had to build a contraption. Now I can't weld or do anything like that but I was doing it in the dream. I had my plan, had to get it to completion, but it kept looking different, and I got really frustrated that I couldn't finish the thing. It was somewhat like a tank?
It happend again the night or so after, I woke up and was pissed -- I want to relax when I sleep, not get all stressed about issues that aren't even real. Issues like "I can't get this weld to stay... where's the right sized wheel for this?... or how come I'm the only one able to see my plan?!!" .:sigh:.
I don't even have to read into those -- pretty obvious I guess.

Last night I dreamt that I had a new apartment. It was right near Bradley Airport, it was in a mall, and quite interesting. The obvious issues being traffic, and living in a mall... people everywhere all the time. I was wandering around the mall at first, trying to find the apartment I was supposed to be looking at. It used to belong to Jennifer Connelly, and it was room #725. As I wandered, I was in a Fileens sort of store, furniture all around, mock livingrooms -- except they were people's apartments, all out for people to wander, mostly minimalist and art decco. I finally found it through "the back" and was pleased with the apartment.
It was done nicely, new Victorian. There were many things left behind - very girly, some smurfs...
The main point was that my family was meeting near by - I stopped in, but had to go back to the apartment to get settled in. I ended up hooking up my stereo.
I think I was telling myself that I need to spend more quality time with the fam.

My life has been filled with computers the past week -- upgrading, installing, playing... and thats good. I'm happy with just plopping down on the couch and piddling with the PC. I don't spend any money while I do it, and as long as I get some food every once in a while -- I'm good.
I brought my system to my buddy's house -- hooked up my PC to his 46" Plasma via VGA. I was hoping on DVI but we didn't have a cable. I'll bring it with me next time. It was awesome nonetheless. It works as a monitor so it'll do whatever resolution you can throw at it. I played everything as large as I was able, usually at least 1024X768.
I could see the track coming up (NFSHS2), see the people shooting at me (UT2003), and run away from cops quite effectively (GTA:VC). Every gamer should have such a monitor -- well, maybe not cause then it's so much easier to flatten them. MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ahh yes - New Years.
The time of year when everyone is wondering what they're going to do that was better then last year -- sitting around and doing nothing, watching some "marathon" on any given cable station. What is there to do? Should I drive far away to some bustling metropolis? How about go out and risk getting mauled by some freak New Years eve accident by some hopped up drunk guy?
I say... go for it!
So Rachel and I were braving the foreboding night -- venturing out to The Asylum in downtown Springfield. After an incredible night in 1999/2000 I had to go back. It was quite a bit more money, same number of headliners, and seemed a bit smaller then the other years -- but we had a blast.
We got there about 10, got some VIP tags and began wandering. I was thoroughly entertained, and a nice bit of break-dancing held our attention for quite some time until shortly before midnight when we went to the main room to await the New Year.
At the stroke of 12 - the balloons dropped, the music escalated, and everyone went wild -- there's nothing like it.
The headliners were "Sugarhill Gang" -- hardly up to snuff after so many years. I gave them about 5 minutes before I wasn't able to listen anymore. They were a cover band -- 50 Cent to DMX, Eminem to House of Pain... if they sang any of their own I wasn't sticking around to hear it. I had better places to wander.
My favorites of the night? DJ Micro, Faust & Shorty, and my absolute favorite: DJ DB. I was in Drum & Bass heaven.
It was a good night overall, it was Rachel's first party -- a bit of an experience. She had a lot of fun, I did too -- danced my ass of. We left just about 6 -- a few stragglers, most just swaying, spent... including myself. It was a good night.
