Ok... so I'm really tired. I kept having crazy nightmares last night. I'm not normally the type so it's kind of strange.
I was in a hot tub... inside a dimly lit glass enclosure. It was like being in an aquarium now that I think of it... it was really cold outside and the hot tub was really cooking, so there was fog everywhere. I kept feeling some really cold hands on me... pushing me down under the water. I kept trying to wake up, I'd be in my bed, try to sit up... but the hands/thing kept pushing me back down on the pillow. Icy arms/hands (dismembered, frozen almost solid) pushing on my chest and near my neck, but not choking me. I kept feeling like I was falling, would wake up, and the hands would be pushing me down until I fell asleep... I'd be falling again, wake up... and it kept happening. Finally I got through it and got a little bit of sleep... woke up around 4:00 or so, but it must have been 2 hours trying to get to sleep, 2 hours of nightmare (so if felt like) and disturbed sleep... it was exhausting.
I had said something to someone earlier about the ghosts in the house all being up on the 3rd floor, just joking and being silly but of course that's the first thing that popped into my head and that got to me after a while of fighting against whatever invisible force it was.
I haven't had a night like that in a while.
Work's tough, so much work, so little appreciation. (sic)
Just a little while more, get a degree under my belt. I'm sure I could ask around, see what's available... but what if after I do that the company burgeons? I'll kick myself. I'm always waiting for the payoff that will never come. The "big reward" that ensures me my effort is worth it. 2 years + and still ticking.
All I can say is I was warned...

Someone's friend would sponsor the site as a joke/prank per the week, or month... and depending on the popularity, you could have secondary subscriptions for smaller listings, etc.
There would be the standard disclaimer so people couldn't claim "slander" and it would all be satire anyway - "likes, dislikes, known to be seen with..."
The only real overhead is the domain registration, and $12-$20 a year for the hosting.

Probably a month before Xmas, I had ordered an "Inbetween Clean Machine" after seeing the commercial on TV.
It professed to be an automatic flosser. I hate to floss, so I figured it would be a lot easier.
It's kinda cool, doesn't actually fit between most of my teeth, I have to be very careful or else risk getting a mini-pipecleaner-type thing in my gums. It fit between 5-10 pairs of teeth, professes to improve with use... as flossing does, but recommends flossing in the harder areas. So here I go thinking this thing will save me from flossing, but it only facilitates it. That's pretty good though, I guess, it keeps my gums healthy... has all these cool attachments like a toothbrush and toungue scraper (well, the rest of the attachments are cool), gum poker thingy... and a lifetime supply of brushes.
It's a nifty little thing, but it certainly doesn't replace flossing.

I was watching Insomniac with Dave Attel on Comedy Central last night @ midnight, it was a special show... they rode along with "Crime Scene Cleaners, INC" in a pimped out F150. They clean up suicides, homicides, and accidental deaths all around CA during the night. It was a great show, they couldn't show a lot of the scenes... and the few things they did show were rather tame but the best part was this story:
"I was at the coroners office, they had just brought a guy in and everyone was giggling. I wanted to know what they were giggling about, so I asked them. Sometimes you'll come across these scenes where the person is masturbating while they kill themselves. This guy was hanging himself, and had a vibrator in his rectum. Well, as he was hung it slid its way up in there... and when they brought the guy in -- it was still vibrating!"
Now that's a story =]~

We have an extra "privacy screen" tucked in one of the corners here at work...
I decided I'd have a little fun with one of my co-workers and while she was intent on working, listening to her music... I set up the screen really quietly behind her. She didn't notice, so I crept away (one of the advantages to slippers @ work).
A minute or two goes by when she looks behind her, feeling a shadow of some sort behind her...
and there's this wall cutting her off from everyone else! HAHAHA!
(well, everyone else thought it was funny)
I was so satisfied with myself =]~ I giggled profusely.

About a year and a half ago I had taken "Database Management Systems" with the same professor I have this time.
I had to leave halfway through because:
A) I had no money
B) I had previously been out of work but was starting my new job here and hours conflicted
C) I was so far behind in most of my classes I didn't have much hope, I finished one class that semester - VisualBASIC
He was so adamant about me not going to "the company across the street" he actually yelled to me as I was leaving, after angrily signing my withdrawal slip... "They'll eat you alive!"
I talked to him today after class, he recognized me but didn't say anything. I mentioned something about having to go to work across the street and it hit him. I mentioned how he had felt strongly about it when I left, but that I was doing ok and getting back on track with school and the like. He had a bit of an understanding, and it was good to see a softer side to the harsh professor he puts on.
All the professors @ STCC seem to be that way, really harsh on the outside, usually portly, and with egos to match their girth. There's a couple of softies... but that's only because they haven't been there long enough yet. Seeing people come in and not even try... or who wish to be spoon fed coming right from high school to a community college, it's got to be frustrating, and what better way to keep them from inquiring and asking for more then they deserve then to put on a good tough/solid facade.

I had my first classes today, even got up early to go to the bank.
COBOL 1 - Not even used anymore, but just incase there's a nuclear fallout and we're forced to use computers remaining from the 1960s, I'll be employed re-routing the nations power grid. Other then that I can't see much use for it. It's kind of like learning about the Revolutionary War -- it got us where we are today, but it's not like it's entirely vital to survival.
Accounting was just as I remembered it, last time I made it half-way through it, same professor... same material, different (updated) book.
Yay. I'm hungry, no time to eat...

So I'm a bit better -- the desire to be home and relaxing is so strong, but trying to get rid of my cold... drinking *ahem* won't help that.
I figure I'll just drive the Probe tomorrow, it's silly not to. No sense in getting pulled over and in deeper shit just because I didn't want to put another 50 miles on the car. I sent an e-mail to the professors I have tomorrow, that whole "responsible" vibe I want to be dishin out. ;) It's not like anything interesting happens on the first day... they hand out the syllabus (silly bus -- ha) and read it over, tell you what book you need, people complain, and they let you out early to go get your books from the mobbed bookstore.
I've already got my books, I'll do a bit of reading to get a leg up, and go in as usual on Thursday. I'll have to change my work schedule a little... 3 or 4 days a week I have class until 12:05, 12:15... I'll probably go in @ 12:30 after getting a bite to eat. I save on parking too, since I work right across the street.
...so much to think about, I go from doing virtually nothing to everything all at once (so it seems) and I'm paying for the privilege to be busy. Wonderful ^-^
I'll thank myself in another semester or two when it's all done and over with -- a very long-winded Associates in Programming.
As soon as I get a spare dime, I'll set up the website for CG Systems, for now I just have to update the page that's there... move everything elsewhere once the site's up. I'll be putting this up soon as I get a chance. It's not overly descriptive, rather general, but it's info that backs up my philosophy towards building/buying a system.

OK -- weird deja vu:
My desk at this moment - empty bottle of powerade, half empty bottle of coke -- mummy action figure - work sheets on my walls, light shining in over my shoulder, wrapped up food to be heated. Probe user manual, something about my car, and classes bearing down on me -- with the same professor. The usual work stuff was on my screen, but the colors and position of windows is also included in this.
I remember waking up to a horrid dream of being all stressed out probably about a year and a half ago (last time I was taking classes @ STCC) It didn't make sense because I had just gotten the probe, and my desk at work wasn't even in the same place, and certainly not the same dept. I couldn't imagine where this came from... and now it all hits me.
Strange... very strange. Every once and a while I get glimpses, deja vu and whatnot. It sort of fits in with fate... things will happen how they will happen, and having things work out in ways that I know they would is reassuring -- like I've done the right thing(s). Reality catches up with the dream.

Running really thin on many fronts, not good.
How can so much not good come from good? Why does the buyer have to be in such a god-damned hurry? You have a life, but so do I, buddy. The only reason I'm doing all this in one day is so you'll be off my back for good.

I went on Monday to look at the new Mazdaspeed Protege - mazdausa.com/mazdaspeed_protege
Take a look at the Quicktime360 movies, hi-res - both interior and exterior.
The one they got in stock was orange, which I'm hopefully not getting. It's just a little too... uh, bright? It was really nice and all - sparkly finish, just not for me, though. The interior was gorgeous, and although it's an entry-level everything is ready and rarin to go with racing parts, low profile tires, a lowered frame, and a stock Kenwood 400wattt 7 speaker system that sounds unbelievable. I was sold... as if I wasn't before.
The Probe has a few day's left on the auction, I've had some really serious offers, unfortunately all wanting to go outside of eBay. I'd rather see what I get for bids and keep it all on the books. Once I sell that I'll be golden for the new one as soon as it's in. I'll drive the Topaz in the meanwhile... ;)~
I hung out with Jay, it's been a while and it was good to see him. Also got some more exposure, I've been driving the Probe lately with the eBay For Sale signs in the window, hoping to get some more people looking. The auction counter is well up over 3000 right now, which means that everyone's looked, but people seem to be holding back on the bidding. Just a *tad* more and it's sold... frustrating.
I'm sure I'll regret this move further down the road. I'll have a new car to keep me busy in the meanwhile... ;)

The party was fun, played some beer pong... then got really irresponsible and we took turns pulling eachother on the snowtube with the 4 wheeler. It was my first time actually getting on one and being able to drive it. I guess I got the whole shifting... gear thing worked out in my head ;) It was nice just being with friends and having fun.
I took a few hours of personal time to be in @ 3pm so that I could eat some lunch with Justin and crew. We went out to Friendlys -- I had one of their big new "dinners" for like $8.50. It's worth it, with a free sunday and all -- it was delicious, vegtables were even good.
I worked until 7:30pm, got out early with another hour of personal time... and got all ready to go to Nicole's work bowling party. We drove all the way back out to NY for it, your usual bowling party... with blacklight and blaring music, that is. I drank quite a bit as we had a taxi lined up for afterwards. I bowled OK at first... but after a few it was all down hill. The shoes ended up cutting a slice into my heel/ankle but of course I didn't notice until the morning.
We drove home in the morning, Nicole heading back to school with all her stuff. Hung out for a bit, I "fixed" her computer... (ended up just re-imaging it because it was so hoarked from Kazaa/viruses and the whatnot). Headed home to relax... and get some sleep.

I'm looking for anything to be able to get pissed off about. Things aren't 100% my way, so I pout -- directing the blame towards the "people who made it so". I tend to hold grudges without people knowing it. It's often not even warranted, so I guess it's just as well. I can be a whiny bitch sometimes =]
...then I realize that's just the way things go, it won't always be the way I want it and chances are I have it better then most. I'll still get miffed, but I know in the back of my head that there's no real reason behind it.

Well I think I'm almost out of my cold. New Years really took a lot out of me, paid the price for it... all-in-all it was worth it though.
There's nothing better then going completely all-out just because it's a day to celebrate, usher in the new year.
I spent today resting, geared up throughout the day... finally got out and went for a walk down to Walgreens for some NyQuil and DayQuil for tomorrow. I stopped at a local salon on my way back. I got my hair cut (finally!) and found out that the local garage isn't so bad. I'll probably go that route for the car. I got my AAA in today, so I can get it towed wherever I need to. I got the AAA+ too, so I can have it towed up to 100miles. I need to get moving on the car, I've got a limited number of days to find out if it's worth all the trouble to keep the Topaz.
I'm all energetic now, bored, no one's around. I watched a charming movie today: The Princess Diaries. I'm sure you've heard about it. It involves a not-so-refined 15 year old who finds out she's royalty. She gets a bit of a makeover, some lessons in proper etiquette and turns out to be quite the little princess. It was a lot more realistic then those kinds of movies usually portray, I was thoroughly entertained. =]

Got out of work last Saturday... had a Sun/Mon off because of the new schedule. I'm working 12-8:30p now, keep the first half of my day open for classes. It's not bad, I get to sleep in but it's somewhat late by the time I get out at night. I had requested the 31st and the 1st off long ago... so 4 straight days of not working. Nicole drove up on New Years Eve. We went to Asylum, it was her first time ever going.
I was trying to get her to dance, but she wouldn't... she enjoyed herself still. I danced like crazy, I had a blast. We stayed till about 1 or so when we got picked up to go to another party. It ended up being crashed by everyone and their brother and it took a good hour or two to clear everyone out.
We stayed for a few hours then were on our way. It was a very good night.
When we woke up, we headed out to NY for a party. Nicole's relatives were having a little get-together and I got to meet the family. It was a nice time, good food... but I was so tired. My first impression must have been horrible -- "I'm ... .:yAWn:. Josh... pleased to meet you."
Nicole did the drive back as well, she let me sleep.
We partied it up with Phil and Scott that evening, I was already beat, but didn't figure it could hurt toooo much.
It did. =] The next morning I was feeling it... but more so on Friday.
It hasn't gotten much better, developed into a sizable head cold. I'm trying to work out of it, just take it easy and hopefully this is the worst it'll get.
So now here I am, 10pm and still at work. I didn't have a ride, just barely called for one. I am all out of usable bills, only a $20 which no vending machine takes. I am so hungry... there's soup at home, but I was looking forward to something tasty and filling.
My ride will be here soon, I have some links... but don't have the time or energy to include them.
They'll be here for when I come back on Tuesday, hopefully I can find some time during the day. Lately it's been *bam bam bam* and haven't even been able to have much time for posting.
Here's to a good start to a great year! ^-^
