Everything should be a lot cooler now... there are now perma-links on every entry, they'll always lead to the same place so if one so desires they can link to little tidbits instead of having to send a person to a broad destination.
Ooooooooooooooooooooh
I'm getting done with my operating systems class -- 3 more classes + final. Yay! I was told that I needed to update, one of those updates being adding: "A Walk to Remember" to the movies page. I recommend it, and even if it looks like it might not be it: rent it, such a good movie =] (you need to watch it -with- someone, though) I have some ideas for graphics, but always like keeping the old ones... it's like casting out a child when I change the design/graphics.
I'm out of training, back working again -- I'm glad, it's a very "at work" job. As in: it's not there when I'm not here =] I'm getting my uber::geek setup going at home, multimonitor on 19" & 21" Trinitrons. I have the FTP up @ serin.dynip.com, lots of new TV and Movies to download... I'm making DivXs again... and should be moving by the end of the month (hopefully sooner). Vacation is coming up Aug10th onward... looking forward to that -- Cape Cod, beaches, beeeeeeeer ;)~

I can't believe it's been so long since I've been able to update. Balls to the wall with the music appreciation class, O/S class, training at work... and up until recently hadn't slowed down on the partying. I just finished the report and midterm for my music appreciation so I'm only a few weeks behind now, but on track =]
I'm trying to figure out a way to keep the blog @ 10 days at a time, with links to the week prior. I don't really want a "archive" page to be the only way to navigate backwards. I should be able to keep it all in the nice little box... now how to do it while avoiding coding it by hand every so often.
14 days @ a time, archive page, working on the RSS. I need to read a bit more about it first, before being able to implement all the cool stuff.

I just woke up.
I took a nap during lunch because I was falling asleep with my head on the desk. I went down to one of the break rooms, turned out the lights and curled up on a chair.
I woke up, lifted my head from the desk. It was the training room upstairs, but it wasn't. The room looked different, there were some people I recognized there, but there were also a lot of people coming into the room who I didn't. Someone turned off the lights, everyone started yelling, I was walking around in the dark trying to find my way either out, or to the lights. Someone bumped into me, a female... I felt myself being groped -- odd... the lights turned on and there was no one near me. Someone who was coming in for a meeting had turned on the lights and was telling everyone to leave in an exasperated tone. I walked out of the room.
I woke up from the dream... thinking it was strange because I had dreamt that I was upstairs instead of down here in the lounge. I looked up and there was a very faint light illuminating the room... a bit more then usual. Instead of a wall to my left, there was a closet, coats and other clothes hanging. I looked up and there was another closet on the wall behind my head. Confused, I looked to my right, noticed that my whole left side was numb, the side I was laying on.. so no big deal. However, there were bunk beds, almost like a dorm room, or barracks along the right wall. I got up, stumbled a little due to my numbness, and looked out to the rest of the call center. It was dark, brick everywhere... papers, it looked like it was quite a while into the future, abandoned. I knew I was dreaming again, and didn't know what I'd have to do to wake up. I knew I needed to wake myself up, feared falling... and as soon as I thought of that the floor slanted down to the left... I started slipping. I crossed my legs, sat, closed my eyes, and envisioned myself spinning. The pull of spinning was a control, but then I started falling.
I woke up, my left side numb. I was on the chair... the room looked the same, the TV was on, silent. I cautiously got up and peered around the corner into the call center. It was the real thing. Still skeptical, I looked at the time, 5 minutes till I had to be upstairs again. I stumbled back to the elevator. I just smiled thinking how real it all felt. I was in control of my dream and it was great. At least I knew what was going on. I wish I had more time, didn't have to be back upstairs, or I could have seen what was possible. It was scary... but so great, I would certainly do it again if I could.

I was curious about opening an eTrade acount, and because it requires an initial investment of $1000 - I did a bit of research. eTrade: What you should know first
I received my XBox games: Splashdown **** - The water was incredible, it looks realistic, it moves realistically, and effects the movement of your sea-doo realistically. Burnout - **** - Racing through traffic is good, crashing is better -- but it's still bad! Superfast driving... Bruce Lee - ** - Play through the plot of a Bruce Lee movie. Tetris Worlds - ? - It's Tetris, 4 player, everyone's happy. Outlaw Golf - *** - Golf's never been so... real. Hit your opponent, even slap your caddy around to relieve some stress. Wisecracks and innuendos abound. I got a demo of it with my latest issue of XBox Magazine, and I was hooked. (I haven't opened Bruce Lee or Tetris yet...) EBWorld denied that my site qualified for their associate program. I'm not going to link the game titles. They'll be sorry!!

So I was notified that my credit card company was defunct: www.nextcard.com I was given the news by a friendly little notice from the FDIC in my mailbox. It stated the bank had failed, that nextcard was actually just a 3rd party to deal with the customers, and that the FDIC attempted to get someone to buy the accounts -- to no avail. They said my credit rating would not be effected, and I was responsible for the remaining balance on my card.
They said the card would be invalid as of July 10th, when I went to sleep I was thinking:: it's still July 9th... 11:50pm, why not use that extra credit, I'd be losing that credit line of that card... my hard-earned credit line. Also: I've had 3 or 4 offers for 0% APR for 1 year on balance xfers in the past week alone. I did what any responsible card holder would do -- I went on a binge to use my extra credit in under 10 minutes. 5 games and a new monitor later... (I got in just under the wire for the monitor) I'm oddly amused, and waiting in anticipation of XBox gaming fun. =] I then signed up for a new card and set to xfer the balance, interest free for a year. Irresponsible: maybe Lucrative: not really Vengeful: huh? fun: yeaaaaaaah =)
If I didn't have another credit card I'd be worried. I don't use it all the time, but it's nice to have the little bit of extra flex. It's better then paying full price for something when you get around to having the money. (Deals wait for no man) I need 2 anyhow, so I'll sign up for another one and be able to pay off a big bill in very little time. My only qualm was that I should have thought more carefully and went for the DVD burner, maybe another hard drive... but hey, I only had about 5 minutes =}

I'm faced with an interesting dilemma::
I feel I know a little too much, like overhearing someone in the hall. I have a hint of something, and based on previous experience can say it will most likely come to pass. I'm not exactly sure what I want to say, how I'd say it, how I'd even approach it. I would want someone to say something to me... as long as it was the right person. I don't seem to think I'm thought of as "the right person" in this particular case, though I'd like to be.
I think this person is one of the most interesting, intelligent, and talented individuals I've known -- but mitigating circumstances make this person unapproachable. I want to say I understand, that I can identify with their feelings. It seems like something everyone has to go through as they grow. *-*-*-*-*-*~*~*~*~*-*-*-*-*-* I'm feeling like I need to take better care of myself. It's such a task to make sure I get something to eat, and have something in the house as backup if I don't. There's always something more interesting to do then look out for myself. If I don't maintain my own self, I have no one to blame but me. It's difficult, and my only blessing is that I'm fairly comfortable. If I had to worry about not having enough money to go grab some food somewhere, vs thinking ahead and having my house stocked with food... I'd be in trouble. I've always got so much going... it's hard to stay on top of things enough to make sure I have enough time for me... but I keep going and do what makes me happy. I can't make everything perfect, I had to let that go... I'd go crazy otherwise. I've just learned to sit back and relax... which helps with my mental health, but relaxing too much means nothing gets done. I'm comforted in knowing I'm not alone on this one.
I hope the housing change, the people change, and taking classes @ STCC again will help me on my way to being more of the person I'd like to be, to accomplish my goals... to make me happy. *-*-*-*-*-*~*~*~*~*-*-*-*-*-* I can't say anything, and won't... can only hope they might somehow stumble upon my own comments and empathize. Perhaps I'll be the one being approached. Of course that's an ideal world and the chances are slim, but sometimes fate needs a little *nudge*.
Maybe some day I can elaborate, when things blow over... some time goes by... .:click:. ...that's it. I know what I can say without causing a ruckus, to be there without being in the forefront.

Things look good regarding a new apartment... found a nice place: 3 floor, 5 bedroom, hardwood floors, front sunroom, big kitchen, 1 & 1/2 bathrooms. I'm waiting for the potential house-mates to verify, and should be moving as of August. (YAY!) I don't fear change, I am quite comfortable... really.
Tonight I start my class @ STCC, I'm still behind in my music appreciation class -- and now I've got a very non-abstract class, should be a bit more straightforward: Operating Systems. It's a prereq for programming, I can't anticipate anything too out of the ordinary... at least - I'm hoping. I like how I have to think when I'm working on the music class, however. It's very floaty and where things can be interpreted different ways, you can't BS like English. There is a form to most music, and you certainly can be wrong. I took the first test too... I wasn't entirely hopefull afterwards. I didn't do as well as I'd hoped. The questions were tricky, changing one word out of what the text said -- and you can't go back and look at the text when you take a quiz or test. I still recommend internet learning... as long as you manage your time well (I'm getting there) it's quite convenient.

Happy 5th of July!
Hit a nice raging party, yesterday -- lots of fireworks, a good-sized keg... and too much machismo. I witnessed at least 3 fights, and many a hot-headed individual. It was enjoyable over-all, minus a few tense moments.
If you're stuck at work like I am, these fun little snippets should help keep you occupied: Knock knock jokes Aquariass SpiroGraph Hubble pictures Haikus
New shipwreck found
I haven't been updating the news, I think I'm going to be a lot more selective. There was a lot of generic stories, and it's not a quick little thing to do... so I'll update it with the best of the best, maybe one a day.

My results: Congratulations, Josh! Your IQ score is 133
This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Emode's Ultimate IQ test.
