...ever get that feeling that someone really knows you? They know what you're about... either from simple intuition or because you've gotten into those particular conversations, giving a hint as to how your thinking works. You don't have to put it succinctly for them to get what you're trying to say --
This song's about just that:
Michelle Branch - You Get Me

The rest of her stuff is pretty good as well.

Funny how I never get around to updating until the weekend's over. I like to lump the events of the weekend together, I'm able to recall things better that way.

I had a great time chillin with an old friend on Thursday night. We hadn't really hung out in quite some time -- began talking again after seeing each other at Phil's funeral. It had been about a year that we weren't speaking to each other, and though our lives went on separately -- there were a lot of things we shared. It was good to put the past behind us, live in the now.

It was her birthday, so we went out and had a good evening. Caught up on things, and just mainly talked throughout the night. It was refreshing to have the back-and-forth we used to. We both enjoy just throwing things out there -- see what the other thinks about it: issues, people, events, culture... a nice little wake-up call to my un-exercised brain. We had a blast -- went well into Friday morning, I tagged along to her Psychology class and we went gallivanting for most of the day.

Grabbed a nap in the evening, headed to my buds house to chill with the guys -- hung out till all hours and woke up just in time to head out to go fill out the needed info for the new apt. It went well, landlord had quite a few cautionary statements. One of which was that there were no pets allowed. It's not like the place is pristine, it's decent... but I see no reason why a well-trained cat would be a problem. Which leads me to a question: should I ask ahead of time, assuring her the cat is mature enough to stay out of trouble and/or hurt the house... try to get permission, or just sneak her in there as the landlord is never around? (according to the previous tenants)
I love my kitty, it would make me very sad not to have my cat -- she'd be sad too. I just hope that end of things works out well enough. One of my future house mates is pretty allergic, but she'd mainly be staying in my room.

I killed some time in the afternoon then went to hang out with a few friends in downtown Springfield. I set up their computer and enjoyed some good imported beer... then we took up an invite to a party (mainly just to be nice) but we were a few of the only ones there. Hung around for an hour or two and headed back. I was planning to be able to go home a bit later -- but ended up passing out in the guest room.

All-in-all I'd say I had a pretty eventful weekend. I had a lot of fun, hung around with a lot of cool people, and really made the most of my time =] I feel really hopeful, happy, relaxed, and tired... but that'll just make it easier to go to sleep tonight after a nice calm evening. I can't imagine I'll be able to party like this in 10 years... this is my testament to fun times, so I can look back and smile.

After I left work I stopped by my ex's work, get the $10 she owed me... I was itching to say something -- "you know, I saw you with that guy... funny, considering you seemed to be thinking in another direction last time we spoke of such things..." I got all worked up and once I actually had the chance to say something: I didn't bother. It really wouldn't accomplish anything, and from the look on her face she knew I knew already. It would only create more tension -- and that was enough without any help.

I have some advice to any ladies out there -- if things aren't working out, tell the person straight up. Don't sugarcoat, hint at maybe something down the road... it only makes things worse. Don't continue to hang out to ween yourself away from things... again: just makes things harder. I'm fine with being civil -- even maybe chilling at a party, but the 1:1 just doesn't mesh without communication. I suppose that was the initial problem, anyhow.
...and for all who are saying "just let it go..." -- I'm workin on it, gimme another week ;) hehe
I am also working on a new album, sort of a theraputic project, but mainly just for fun -- "Dumping Grounds" inspired by Ben Folds 5 - Song For the Dumped. If you haven't heard it, get it now!

Thanks to everyone for the positive feedback on the site! ^-^

Woo hoo! It looks like we've found our place. I went to go look at the house on Saturday -- it's a large house, 4 sections, somewhat old... but I think what sold us was the current residents. 3 adorable young ladies who were moving out because they were graduating soon. That aside: the place was cheap, it was certainly good enough -- roomy... it's out near Amherst, college town, UMASS, etc. The rest of the place is also populated with college students, almost like a little commune. I was very pleased, unfortunately Sept 1st is when it's available for rent, but I can ride it out until then.

We stopped at the Ganja-fest on Amherst common, hung out there for a bit, listened to some music, got some food -- and I saw an ex girlfriend, and a past friend who has a problem with me. One of those "out of the blue -- I have a problem with you, but I'm not telling you what it is" situations... we haven't hung out in at least a year or so... haven't spoken -- he just has nothing to say to me. I attempted to be civil, greeted him with a handshake... but they were both just ice-cold... so I was on my way. The good news is that he looked like shit and she was incredibly round... so no one was doing "absolutely fantastic". Se la vie.

I met up with some friends, hung out for a bit -- watched some SNL and Jackass, ordered some Quickies (local buffalo wing joint), and just chilled out. We passed the time till about 10 when we went back out Amherst way to catch a party. There was an incredible ammount of people... 5 kegs and they were gone about an hour or so after I got there. I got about 3 & 1/2 cups worth... which was good enough. It raged on till about 3 or 4 -- then people were leaving and few remained. The remaining pulled up a futon, couch, chair... you name it -- and zonked out, myself included.

It was a good night, got to know some people from the area, which will be nice when I move out that way... they had a live band, and there was always someone to strike up a conversation with. There was one guy who seriously reminded me of the guy from "Dead Man on Campus" totally out there, you could tell he'd been drinking all night -- stumbling around, etc. He had a bashed lip, and a large cut on his finger. "Do you rember where you got that?" "Naaaaaw, maaaaan... huhuhhe". There was the frat guy manning the keg: "Welcome to the front of my line..." and the guy who insisted on blasting "Sweet Home Alabamma" and rockin out over and over. There was also a blind guy -- somewhat led around by this nice young lady. After she had a few she kept forgetting she needed to lead him and eventually he was sitting there by himself. The "Sweet Home Alabamma" guy ended up talking to him and couldn't stop raving about "how this was such a cool dude". Someone leaned over to me "you know, that guy's probably so smart... when you lose one sense, you gain it in all the others..." uh huh. =]

There were many cool characters, I think I'm going to enjoy the college life, without the 10,000 price tag. ^-^

post://85021708/

It's Saturday morning, 4:30am. I just got back from a generally pleasant evening at "Fuse" -- afterhours club here in Springfield.
I danced quite a bit -- had a blast. I was there until just about 3:50am when I saw something kind of odd. There was my ex, a security guard for the club (I knew she was working) -- probably about 3 weeks after telling me "she needed time to herself" and "...maybe we should just be friends for a while" & "I need to do something for myself, without any help" -- leaning back on some young chap, and they were intertwined for a good 5-10 minutes or so. I was upset, not that she had found another guy... but that I told myself "don't be a schmuck" and against my own better judgement, I believed the things she said. It was like a good stab to the stomach, I left shortly after.

I had probably the most fun I've ever had at fuse, tonight. Everything was fabulous, people were cool -- there was a lot going on... the music was good (whew!), nothing too exciting, but the DJs were into it, and that made dancing so much easier. It was a Columns of Knowledge party -- so that probably has something to do with it. I'm listening to a CD right now that one of the DJs handed out. I'll post it soon, this guy's great. =]

I ran around with highlighter on my arms as well, I had a grafitti drawing dude write "Synthetic-X.com" from one arm to interlocking knuckles to the other arm so if I put my fists together, it was a blacklight beacon of .com-ness. I hope the people I showed it to come and visit -- and don't be gotten down by the 1st paragraph -- they're usually a bit more "upbeat" =] Hi to everyone I met this evening -- and keep in touch via the discussion board. That and the callendar might help calaborate specific party meetings.

Guess that's it for this evening -- have to see a man about a house tomarrow, .:fingers crossed:.
I wish everyone well -- a big "HI!" to everyone I met this evening. It was nice to talk to some really cool people.

ACK! I went outside to take some pictures, capture a few woodland creatures in their frolicking... and my digtal camera seems to be broken. It's about a year or two old... so it's almost ok because I want a new one. The thing is: I don't -need- a new one as far as quality -- I have an Olympus D-340R which has served me well, 1.3 Megapixel -- which is enough... I hate when stuff breaks :] I don't use it that much, but it's nice to have it when I want a camera.

It works for things within about a foot or so, inside -- but anything else will be all blurry. I think the 2x zoom/lense is broken as it makes a clunk when opening/initializing. $20?
Also have my Garman GPS III+ on the same page.

Ahh, my friday -- so nice to have the potential of the weekend upon me. I plan on being very productive tomarrow, then once evening comes -- being anti-productive =] I'm still waiting on my insurance check -- I really don't want to replace my stereo equipment: I just don't want it stolen again. On the other hand: I did manage to keep the one I had for about a year without incident -- and I hardly ever took the face off. A lesson I shall not forget -- bring it inside, don't leave it under the seat, even parked at home... .:sigh:.

On the bright side -- possible improvement in living situation... friend of mine is going to talk to her brother, tell him that I'm a better room-mate then whoever's planning to move in there about June or so. It's a whole house -- in a better area, so if that was possible I wouldn't be worrying about the vulnerability of my vehicle so much. There's so much I would like to do, but I'm reluctant in the wake of what's already happened. I guess I'll call it bad luck, but I think Karma is involved somewhere in there. It's not like I broke into anyone's car... so it must stem from something else.

There's so much I want to do outside -- unfortunately there really isn't anyone to do it with. If I want to go rollerblading, I'm on my own. I could probably find someone to go mountain biking with... but I better go by myself first -- make sure I'm fit enough to not slow anyone down ;)
In browsing a lot of blogs, I found many of the same stories that I've put up on my news page... but that's bound to happen -- only so much news that's fit to print. I've been steadily going here and there, finding interesting sites -- checking out discussion boards, posting my link where applicable... I'd like to see some more movement on the discussion board, but I'm not sure if it's because people can't find it, or it's not interesting... if that's the case, hell -- post something and I'll respond =] It would be nice to get a little back and forth going -- keep myself busy @ work ;) hehe

- created a new background, watch the pictures page for update(s).

Got my new tires today from tirerack and was looking at some other possibilities. Now I just have to get my rims on w/ the new tires and I'll take some pictures =]

Last night some friends and I went up to the top of a large mountain out here -- sat around a fire with some beer just looking out onto the city below. It was a beautiful night, a tad treacherous of a walk up as I (of course) didn't bring any kind of a flashlight... but I got about halfway up and there was another group of people that had pitched a tent and were just hanging out -- one of the guys - Jeff, gave me a ride up to the top via ATV and probably saved me a good 15 minutes of uphill walking =]

The orchard is probably one of my favorite places around here, a close seccond is the old Mt. Tom amusement park -- old rollercoasters, haunted house, carosel, just so much character and spookyness (best to go near twilight).
It's all rotten and falling down, there was a fire there, and vines cover most of the structures still standing -- fabulous!

Separate the thought(s):
Well, once more my weekend seemed to dissapear completely. I didn't really have anything to do until late last night, and of course had work this morning. Not exactly a bad thing -- I had a lot of fun, a couple friends from out Boston way came out, we chilled out to some pretty cool music/visuals thanks to acidspunk.

Best Buy has Red Faction for $20, that took a lot of my time this weekend -- as did a new 40gig HD for DivX-ing goodness. Deus Ex just came out for PS2, so I pulled out my old copy for PC -- that game is hard. I guess that's why I never really played it, I'm a picky gamer... it has to be feasable for me to win -- 3D looks really good, fluid... PC games just don't match XBox, though - I'm saddend. I know it's just a matter of time before the consoles surpass the offerings for PC (if they haven't already). Companies don't want their games pirated, consoles are a sure bet that they won't be, and there's more of a mainstream market... it's sad because there's really good controllers for computer -- and everything's scalable so usually things will look even better in the future thanks to new hardware, etc.

Freedom Force - get the demo, I haven't played it yet but from what I've heard it's pretty good.

Know of any good games for PC?

notice someone | get noticed

...as you can see I'm trying to work on my visibility. I'm determined to get the last couple kinks out of things but I'm still uncertain as to how I should work with the music page. I'd like to put a blog for each window -- though that seems a bit excessive. However -- I can simply post a song when I'm thinking of it, as opposed to opening up the site, editing, uploading, etc. I'll most likely go that route. I'm just going to post the albums as text, most of the songs should be relatively easy to find.

I'll be adding some more movie reviews/companion-cds, I've been making DivXs faster then I can watch them -- so I'll post as I get my impression(s).
As always if anyone has any questions and/or issues with DivX -- can always inquire on the discuss board.

I want to share music. I feel there's so much that other's haven't heard -- and that there are certain songs that I hold so dear... I have to have another person hear them and hold them the same. I have my main connection with people through music. There is a lot else that I've made friends via: but none so true a feeling to be shared, as a song. Everyone's so wrapped up in "movies, tv, video!" that they're missing out on the music that's so readily available. Don't be afraid of that odd title, or new music type... just listen and see how you like it.

I'm out of the reach of the cold -- almost fully, and am currently fighting "the tiredness" but that comes with the approaching of the morning. I have a new enemy to contend with as well -- "the boredom", it's a tricky one. ** There's a big party @ Assylum tomarrow night Sat April 13th 10pm-4am+ so if anyone's interested -- get on the horn! **
I miss having a companion, but I've made up for it in attention to myself, my own health -- to reflect: "doing something for myself". Indeed. ** I put 128mb (32mb x 4) of EDO to good use today, donated it to a good cause -- a 166 for a needy individual. They needed a computer, and their roommate really needed someone to play Starcraft against. These RTS people, I'll never understand it -- I need action, now now now! No click and confirm...

Never underestimate the power of speculation, or getting all those nagging little questions out in one big whoomp.
Finally got the chance to ask those questions I could only ask myself, mere speculation on my part, anyhow -- but they were valid concerns and they'd certainly affect "potential friendship". For the most part I was reassured, I could see the true confusion, naiveté... and unknowing.

I realized that sometimes people are at different timelines, and it might as well be now rather then later. So I'm at peace, and I think she realizes a bit more the impact that the decisions we make for ourselves have on others. Though none of it really makes any sense... that's because she just hasn't figured that out for herself yet. It's for the best, I know that -- though mainly in my head.

It's time to get out, see the part of things that I haven't been able to, be the young one - myself -- again.

I'm not going to get all sans-philosphical.
My 6 months is up. (Maybe it was up a week ago -- it just got dragged out) That's how long things are allowed to go on and be well for me. Then something happens to remind me that everything could be much worse. Sometimes it's physical, sometimes mental, usually a big pain in the ass.

If I believed her 100% -- it's just for now, it's not because I wasn't nice, kind, or thoughtful. It's not because I was respectful, treated her as an equal, and was willing to sacrifice where I could for the sake of our togetherness. It wasn't because I'm an obligation, or because I'm bad in bed. She's not wanting to be with someone else, and wasn't seeing anyone else. It's not because I demanded too much, or even asked much at all, and it certainly isn't because my feet are too small.

It's unrelated to pantookits, to gyros, or beans... it's not that my apartment is usually un-clean.
It's not that we bickered, quite calmly indeed -- because both of us were sure, and neither gave heed ;)
I'm not quite sure why, and I don't think she either -- but she must have come down with some sort of fever.

Of course we'll hang out -- why shant we shouldn't?
...because it'll remind me, that she wanted to... but couldn't.
