It sure is winter outside right now. It's been icing all day, just got in from clearing off my car so it might be set come 9:30. The only thing I could wish for now would be some snow to top it off. This would make a great sledding base. I love winter, but I was looking at the trees and the grass earlier today before everything was covered up... I was thinking how nice spring is, the trees just budding... the smell in the air, the grass just turning green again. It'll be nice once winter's over, I just hope for one good storm before it's all done.

I am really pleased with how things are going, in general, and with a certain someone in particular. I spent last evening with her and the fam, somewhat. We watched a movie, played PS2 for a bit... then just sat around on the floor talking, with a blue screen on the TV. We did that for quite a while, her mom came down... and we all had a pleasant conversation about nothing in particular. I was dubbed "all right" -- which is always favorable... and I had one of the most relaxed, un-influenced evenings I've had in a while.

I can't say that yesterday morning was all that wonderful -- though at the same time it was.
I had unexpectedly fallen asleep, and after going out to my car about 5am... all 4 tires were absolutely flat. Whoever it was had taken the valves out, too... so it was impossible to pump back up without first fixing all the tires. I had to get that fixed, cost me about as much as a tow would have, but they came right out in the morning -- couldn't have taken more then 15 minutes.
As far as I can tell -- it was random. My interior light had been on, so I figured that might have been the red flag - "hey, come and mess with me" I just can't see who would find that so entertaining... but the way I look at it, they could have done a lot of things to flatten my tires, which might have cost me a lot more time and money -- so I'm just thankful that was all they did.
I give an extra glace or two as I get out of my car now, though.

Ok, so Rez is as cool as I thought it would be. It's one of those things... ominously named "the game" in various stories. A futuristic game that everyone gets into, forgets the rest of their lives... well, maybe not quite, but it's certainly addictive. I've almost beat it, but beating each time unlocks different modes of play in the 4 areas. It starts off mostly point-line 3D... but fills in as you progress (from what I've gathered). I can't wait to get to the later levels. It can get so intense, the controller vibrates to the beat, keeping you in-sync with the game... and away from the rest of the world. 3D glasses would certainly pull you in even further -- it's that kind of game.

I recommend it highly, and tell your friends... I have read a few reviews on it thus far, the critics love it... but seriously doubt consumers will come through and prove to the industry that ingenuity is worth something. So do the entire video game industry a favor -- buy it now!!! ^-^

Pictures page is coming right along, though I've yet to upload it (of course). There's a secret bubble now... I ran out of bubbles to use, so had to throw one in there -- figured I'd make it interesting ;) I've got a good picture of someone passed out on a cat, its cute... along with some good sunsets. It's amazing how good pictures come out going 90 with the camera out the window while driving... better pictures then when I'm standing still ^-^

Check out this lamp!

I realized a lot of my job consists of gauging people's honesty. I have to figure out if we are at fault vs the customer... sometimes they're flat out lying, sometimes they have no clue... and sometimes we're at fault.
I don't like having to gauge liers, that is a lot of the reason as to why I choose the friends that I do -- I'm straight up in all aspects, this is me... and I want others to be the same. There's nothing worse then thinking someone might be doing something behind your back. I cast that possibility out long ago by being very very selective in who I occupy my time with.

...just suck it up and deal, don't try and lie your way out of it, accept it, move on.

The cumulative ammount of snow has gone by the wayside. With 50 degrees plus today, the snow went on a fast track outah here. It's almost my weekend, too -- there go my hopes of sledding. I now have some pictures of my surroundings.

I feel like I've got double the free time, having the laptop with me. I can work when the inspiration strikes, I don't have to wait until I get home, and then worry about having the time to do it... at the very least write some notes on how I want to do something later on. I love technology =]

I have a happy little snippit too: I was on the phone, speaking with a charming young lady that I have mentioned prior... and at the conversation's closing I was elated at hearing: "O-bie K-bie"
It's a small, foolish little thing, but "it's the little things" that make all the difference.

I'm off to play pool this evening. I never feel quite so devonaire as when I'm strolling into the pool hall, woman at my side, casing the place to see if anyone I know is already there. Ordering a table, setting up, grabbing a cue... and doing the I'm about to play pool... and I'm walking with the stick walk ;]

Wow! More snow today! I've been itching to go sledding so badly, know of at least 3 friends who were out having a good time yesterday and today while I was wasting the good daylight time working.

My whole department at work moved to a new area of the building... it's where everyone used to be before everything got huge - back when it was all still Javanet. I've got a nice desk, window to look out of longingly, plant... it's all good, and with the new schedule it's about the same ammount of work -- albiet a lot less hectic. New location and schedule mesh well.

I'm looking forward to Fri/Sat -- my new weekend... maybe get some sledding in then.

There was a nice snow last night, though still not up to par for winter. I miss the snow, and its nice that we have some hanging around finally... but I want feet! I want snow to just go *BWAM!" ...2 feet. =]

I'm actually running out of things to do with the page =] I've got some work done on the pictures page, but that won't be up till I have something other then my "yams project" to put up there. (I was invigorated and inspired last time I went shopping -- had a hankerin for yams... and followed a recipie for candied yams... turned out pretty good, surprisingly) I did have almost a years worth of digital camera pics... but I mixed up the 8mb smartcard with my 16mb smartcard... and well, all the pictures go away when you format. So I'll have to get to work taking some pictures. I'm reluctant to put up people... only because that's a little bit too personal... but landscapes and the like are fair game.

Working the new schedule, sundays aren't bad... and I get paid a little bit more -- was feeling like death colded-ed-ed over earlier... feeling a bit better now, but still don't understand it. Open invite to go visit some friends who just moved into the area, so I'll probably do that this evening... maybe see what's goin on with la bonita chica...

I saw Lord Of The Rings again last night. I'm still amazed by the sound in the theater, though a bit larger this time, so it didn't sound quite as good as the last place I saw it, but wonderful just the same.

I've steadily been working on the page, finally got the music page to look more how I'd like it... I'll be adding more/new music soon. If you need DivX, check out the software section. Once I get myself a bit more situated/organized I'll have the albums up, upwards of about 20 80min albums at this point, and there will be more.

Things are going well, other then the fact that I have to adapt to a new schedule soon. It's about 3 hours later then now - but the upside is that I don't have to be up until noon. =] Things seem to be going in the right direction, and I'm pleased.

...grrr - should have known, as soon as I put it up -- doesn't work. For some reason it's not pulling the .class file out of the .jar archive. I am beside myself... I wish it just wouldn't have worked on my computer -- then I wouldn't have worked for so long to get it to look good... only to have it not work later. .:sigh:. well its not like its not backed up... but just annoying.

I don't see anything funny with my webhost, but I'm unable to set the permissions to anything but read only for everyone else but owner, I don't think that should have anything to do with it... but stranger things have happened. I'm trying to get the author to get back to me, or get the .class the old fashioned way. I'll probably just end up taking it down till I can see whats up with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Spent thursday going out to offices near Boston. I saw people who I talk to here and there througout the day, saw their end of the operations, which helps me better understand my own and how to better work with them, all-in-all it was rather rewarding. The drive was probably the hardest part, but I kept myself and others occupied. ...anything to avoid the licence plate game .:shudder:.

Attendance sucks. Oooooh 8 minutes late... when I stay 15 at the end of my shift, I understand from a management standpoint... but it's not really that serious. 20 minutes, thats serious... that's an occurence -- you've screwed up at that point and you're late. They have to draw the line somewhere... I just don't like getting a talkin' to.

Sold my PIII 866mhz machine and I did me some researching... and am good for the go. I can finally get my pictures off of my digital camera via the smartcard reader built in... S-Video... its my new DivX VCR/TV system, and MP3s on the go. Ahhh. =]

...just like heaven. =] I'm trying to get used to this... moderation as with all things. Someone asked me last night if I was hooked up. I realized I didn't know what that meant, in the true sense. That I have a girlfriend for sure? I said no, only because it really hasn't been that long, and that talk is required before it's made official, right?

A bit after I wrote the proceeding paragraph, (and it wasn't published, I keep missing my window of opportunity for publishing), we got into a discussion about this very thing here at work. Someone said: "it's when you introduce her to your friends another insinuated it was the doin' it, and another: my grandmother approves".

This seems to be a good time to post a new thread.

What a bad time to be updating right and left, blogger's a bit on the sluggish side, publishing is disabled again... story of my life, as soon as I want to update, have things to update about, and find that one color I want... I can't see it right away. I can still put it in, I just have to wait till later to find out if it actually worked or not.

I'm feeling good after yesterday, surprisingly. Worked out a bit (!!) -- I like being aware and taking care of myself -- this is a good thing. It's not a resoultion either, I kept those simple this year. I feel all fit, and hoping to keep it up, this cold is somewhat dampering me, however. Cold leads to little red pills to stop the stuffy, little red pills lead to warm fuzzy head, warm fuzzy head leads to disorientation... and that seems to last longer then the bennefit of the non-sniffling. It's a necessary evil with work-provided wellness, however.

So I'll update this now... and post it later. Hopefully I haven't unknowingly rendered this un-readable.

I got my New Years wish! (oh yeah, and its snowing too) =] hehe

Yeah I'm still giddy, I'm still smiling, and even though its a tad sogg-ay outside... I love it. It snowed last night, a good whoomping but with it being kind of warm... it was soggy by this morning. It's snowing again now, hopefully it'll freeze up and stick around for a while. I want to get some sledding in this year. =]

I watched Moulin Rouge again... much better when you have someone to watch it with. I suppose that's the case with most of those kinds of movies. I hate to classify, but I don't think I could get some of my more "hearty" (not as in touchy-feely, more as in the sense of a good stout beer) friends to appreciate it. In any case, I had seen a bit of it before, watched it again -- and loved it. I'll put up a review as soon as I get to it ;)

Work's going well thus far, only hours remaining ;] I don't know what to do this evening, however. I'd like to again spend it with a charming young lady... but don't want to be too overzealous. Though I'm feeling like being super-zealous and seeing her all the time, I think its important to #1 start slow, #2 maintain life's usuals, and #3 make each time that much more special by having time inbetween. I'm sure she's got things to do in the meanwhile... and I can keep myself occupied for a day or so =]

Sat down with a small pot of coffee (thanks to the coffee-maker my brother bought me for xmas) & my computer last night -- worked out some stuff for the site, downloaded a buncha new music, searched out some new artists, and that worked out well, I can only hope to be so productive this evening.

Hmmm, I think that was a satisfying couple hours of work. I just finished updating some things.

Take a look at the rollover bubbles at the bottom left of the main screen. Get the daily dose, news, and webcam (once it's running again) right on the main screen. The others link to new pages. I hope it's not throwing too many windows up -- but lets things be viewed as intended. I'd like to hear if things don't show up right. It's all at least 800 width, so best to have your screen @ least 1024 X 786 -- 32 bit (of course).

I don't know how this coding works with Netscape. I know it doesn't like the I-Frames, I'll have to check out what the new Opera can do. I hate authoring for just one browser... but it comes with Windows, everyone has it, even if you don't use it -- it's still installed. Netscape takes longer, and hogs up my machine -- the new one may be different, but IE5/6 has done me well and I don't see myself using AOL's products anytime before the devil's nut's freeze to his chair. At least Microsoft knows what they're doing -- maybe a little too well. =]

The People page isn't complete, I just am going to bed at 2:30 as it is ;) maybe soon.

Today's a damn good day, considering. Usually about this time (2-3 days?) I'm tearing my hair out, shuffling into work, and barely making it through the day. Granted: hardly made it out of bed this morning, but thats only cause its so comphy =]
I had a very nice evening with a very lovely lady, and that just seems to make all the difference. I just can't stop smiling.

Its probably kinda soon to go making prognostications, but I'm just really happy. Everything just fell into place at the right time, and I'm beyond thankful for everything thus far. Just goes to show, if you're patient and don't jump at the first spring chicken that crosses the road... :]

...didn't I say something about not getting too personal? Eh, screw it -- I'm gonna burst otherwise =]
Need to go find a mountain top somewhere *ahem*, get my voice warmed up.

Oh yeah, been meaning to tweak some things on the site... I'd appreciate feedback on the overall positioning, I plan on activating most of the bubbles as shortcuts to various areas... also, not sure if anyone actually reads the title="blah blah" on the links (when you hover, the explanation text pops up) but thats going to be the main "hey, click on this" for this site, keep it subtle... that way if a hampster of indistinguishable origin happens upon this site intending malice -- they'll be impatient and miss any further explanation."
